We've been counting down the most shocking headlines of 2008, and we'll be revealing more throughout the month of December. We hope you enjoy this look back at some of the posts and stories that created the most buzz throughout the year.

Shia LaBeouf hit the ground running in 2008, quickly scoring his second Vanity Fair cover and shooting Eagle Eye. He hit a snag when a warrant for his arrest went out after he was a no-show in court for a smoking violation, but all was forgiven and forgotten in the huge success of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Unfortunately, things got crazier for Shia as he headed into the Summer months. In late July, he was involved in a scary car accident and arrested under suspicion of DUI.

The charges were eventually dropped, but Shia was left with a very serious hand injury and had to step off the set of Transformers 2 for a few weeks. More recently the hand injury also made him drop out of another movie, though he's still picking up high-profile projects. On the more personal side of things, the media implicated him as part of Adrian Grenier's breakup with Isabel Lucas, since Isabel was the only other passenger in Shia's truck at the time of the crash. Eventually Shia got back to work and helped Eagle Eye score big at the box office, though he found himself injured yet again after a mishap on set left him with stitches on his eye. Luckily, Shia made it all the way through 2008 without another mugshot and in one piece, but hopefully he's learned a few lessons to take with him into 2009.
