Australia hits theaters today, but Nicole Kidman took a break from her busy press schedule to present a petition against violence towards women at the United Nations in NYC yesterday. As a UNIFEM Goodwill Ambassador, Nicole talked about how happy she was to get over 5 million signatures, saying, “We thought that the more names we collected, the stronger our case to make ending violence against women a top priority for governments everywhere. Well, the results are in. We’ve tallied the numbers from Bangkok and Tanzania, from Ecuador to Fiji, from Jordan to India. I am so delighted to announce that they have far, far, surpassed our goal." Nicole's philanthropic projects have always been as important to her as films, and hopefully she can inspire others to do some good deeds this holiday season as well.

Helmut hair. Great cause.
1the hair is confusing.
2She actually looks animated in these pictures! It is a great cause and I think it's cool that she'd highlight it as the movie puts her in the spotlight.
3Ugh, she really needs to do something about that hair. I adore Nik though, she's a superior talent and seems to care deeply about her humanitarian work.
4she looks very good here
5very classy
who cares about her hair? Good on her for speaking up for the women that can't.
6I absolutely
Nicole Kidman. It's great that she is really passionate about this issue. It
is something she has been involved with for the past few years, I think.
And she looks fabtastic here. The hair, hmmmm ... I think it suits the occasion.
7The area that moves on her face is her mouth, other than that it's frozen face.
8Don't like the hair. At least she does something besides shop though or bed hop.
9Good for her, making something of her status.
10who cares about her hair? Good on her for speaking up for the women that can't.

I agree. I was more interested in what she had to say about violence against women than her f***ing hair. Or any hair for that matter.
I signed a petition in the Unifem webiste. I don't know if its the same petition as the one Nicole is holding.
11Wonderful cause every woman should support.
12Terrible shame she has wasted her looks with botox and fillers. This is why SJP is the way to, love ya lines!!
i like to watch NK in movies, but pictures of her freak me out. She looks so...umm...not human?
Anywho, its great to see her so dedicated to a great cause =)
