8Anne Hathaway - I'm not sure she has improved, maybe she was always strong but this year was the first time she had to face a public scandal, although it was more her boyfriend's scandal than hers.

I don't believe for a second that Jessica Alba is a "happily married mom." Married? yes. Mom? Of course. but happy? There's a reason Michael K on D-listed calls her MiserAlba!

17can't stand anne hathaway. the only change she went through was losing a ton of weight...and the only reason she got publicity was because of that guy she dated. i dont think she needs that much sympathy, it's not like SHE was arrested.
18I don't know why Anne Hathaway or Joel Madden is on this list...I never thought they were "bad." I don't want to vote for Britney because I still think it's too soon to tell. If she is still has good behavior after the conservatorship ends, then I will give her props. I would go with Nicole Richie, even though she is not on this list. I know she won last year but I think she proved that she deserved it this year. Last year she was pregnant so abstaining from drugs and alcohol is pretty much what is expected, but I think this year she has really proven that she is past all that AND she can keep her weight on (even though she is still a tad on the skinny side).
19I voted for Britney. It's funny, I don't remember us all rooting for her. I remember many hating on her the way we do Jen and or Angelina or whoever....

25I got to give it to Britney Spears. Chicka has absolutely improved. This time last year she was acting all sorts of crazy. I am glad she is better now...much improved.

30Anne - because she's somebody who was at a really low point, and she's handled her situation so beautifully, she's only gotten better and you can tell she's not going to relapse like BRITNEY. Ugh can't believe anyone is buying that she's all better.

33I don't get why Anne isn't getting any love. She has really been in no limelight for awhile and then suddenly she's faced with questions about her douchebag boyfriend. She handled the news and the interviews afterward like a perfect lady.
Britney is not fully recovered. Paris has already started to relapse (no one saw some of the pictures of her right after the breakup?) Alba is stuck up, I don't care what anyone says lol. And Joel, well maybe. But he was in that little drama a little bit ago.

Lots of celeb gossip bloggers have started calling her "MiserAlba", not just Michael K. I doubt it's so that people will hate her or visit those sites more... The implication that she's miserable doesn't make me hate her -- it makes me feel sad for her. I think they are calling her that because ever since her pregnancy (and her getting back together with Cash), she looks unhappy in photos much more often than before. I don't know if it's PPD now or what. Poor girl.
In any case, I don't think she has improved this year at all, quite the opposite, in fact. I do hope next year is better for her!

39This list is unbelievable. There was nothing wrong with Jessica Alba - because you chose to look at some pictures, call her miserable, make fun of her, not even read her interviews or blogs and then decide she's "improved" because this time you're looking at the pictures and calling her happy? That's insane. Maybe she was happy all along. Maybe she didn't need to improve. Maybe you all just got sick of pushing a "story" of her being unhappy when the rest of us can rather clearly see she just hates paparazzi.
How is Anne Hathaway improved? She finally dumped her boyfriend, long after the stories came out about his shady dealing but right before he got arrested. She was hardly being attacked until the stories about him showed up.
Joel never did anything "bad" before dating Nicole - are we calling dating Hilary Duff something that needs to be "improved" on? Her fans must be thrilled.

40how can anyone think other than britney? i'm a bit confused about some of these .
1) joel madden - he used to be with hillary duff - how is that a bad thing and how has he improved? he's never been that bad of a guy
2) anne hathaway - um...she just had a rough year - there's nothing that really improved about her though - her career's been on the up and up for a while now
3) jessica alba - well she does smile more but that's about it. we don't see her doing anything else
4) had paris stayed with benji then maybe she'd be in the running, but i don't think that now we can see any real change - she's back to her old ways.
i do think that you guys forgot to include Lindsay Lohan though. think about how this year has been completely different from what we've seen of her in the past.
