This may just be me and the way I was brought up but I'm not big on the families kissing on the lips thing. Its anywhere else on the head for us, but not the lips, we see that as an intimate
thing with partners.
An ex's father (sleazy with a moustache) did that to me one Christmas and totally shocked and grossed me out. I had to wash my mouth out afterwards, had chills just thinking about it again.
A lot of families kiss on the lips. My Somoan friends all do. Now my family didn't even hug. There was a silent acknowledgment of love, but we weren't the touchy feely type. Every family is
different. Some people kis their close friends on the lips to.
Oh and if you've ever hung around young children, toddlers, and babies they are all about putting their face and mouth all over your face. I've had 14th month old babies kiss-slobber me in
the eye. It's how they share all of their germs with you and make you sick.
