Before Brad Pitt took Angelina Jolie to the premiere of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button we saw him filming an interview for The Today Show in New Orleans, which aired this morning. Brad spoke about the success of his Make It Right program and what it was like meeting the specific families that have already moved in. The actor also spoke about his own family dynamic and the possibility of marriage as he continued on the Jolie-Pitt tradition of talking up his children.
- On why he doesn't like talking about his family: "I just walk away feeling bad about it when I do. There's no way to give it true validity and weight and what it means to you in your life. and it seems to get cheapened somehow as it goes through the filter and the airwaves. Some things you just want to keep close to the chest."
- On his family: "I will say this — I'm really proud of this family. I look at my sons and daughters. ... It's a rich home, I feel rich being around them. Each one offers so much to the mix. Surprisingly though, six kids is not as easy as you would think."
- On whether he'll marry Angelina: "If we feel it's important to our kids we'll do so."
Brad seems a little more standoffish about talking about his family this time around, but he still takes a moment to glow about his kids. After the interview, Anne seemed relieved to reveal that Brad's mustache is just for his new movie, and we do hope he isn't getting too attached to it.

I thought it was probably one of the most boring interviews ever by Brad, but I'm still quite thrilled at the houses finally being shown, and people moving in. It's so cool that some get to come home. I know NOLAites and Brad is highly thought of there.
1"Surprisingly though, six kids is not as easy as you would think"
No,no way, omg i always thought having six kids was like running through a meadow on a sunny day. He is a pure genius, I love Brad, aw.
But jokes aside, six kids can be fun, if you can handle it.
2well he's not all that compelling anytime really if you think about it. what kind of answer is that - if it's important to our kids then we'll get married? come on!
3"Surprisingly though, six kids is not as easy as you would think."
4Yea, because we all think six kids are easy to take care of all at once.....
redlilly, I just posted the same thought at the same time! hahahah
5
6I saw this at the gym this morning. I didn't have audio but I was laughing at how Anne is just leaning her face on her hand like she's in love. lol
7I loved the part where he was doing the red carpet "posing". Nice interview and a GREAT cause!!!!
8aww too cute
9"Surprisingly though, six kids is not as easy as you would think."
O rly?
10Brad better do some good for LA, his movie costed taxpayers $27million.
11cost*
12another ass kiss interview...is it me or are these people shockingly boring? i suppose hes just so exausted from having so many chidlren,i probably wouldnt be able to articulate any thoughts other then " help me!"
13The tax credit is a mixed blessing..
Good that it lures film makers to use it as a location which then brings jobs to the area.. people staying in local hotels, eating at restaurants, using local caterers for the shooting location, local builders and building supplies, locals as extras.. all equals dollars being spent and jobs being created. And then might later bring tourists who saw the movie and want to go and see New Orleans.
Bad that it is creating more taxes for people already burdened by higher taxes in a time of economic depression no less.
And apparently being taken advantage of by some film makers looking to use it to build condos and the likes.
Would New Orleans be better of if they took the films elsewhere to film though? Hard to know.
14Anne Curry is a horrible interviewer..but apparently she is in the trusted few allowed to interview them.. Anderson Cooper, Larry King, Ann Curry and occasionally Matt Lauer in a pinch. All cupcake sweet and easy interviewers.
15It's a terrible waste of taxpayers dollars, it does not bring any SUSTAINABLE income to the state. It's a publicity stunt by local starstruck goverments which the film industry takes advantage of.
16Why is Angelina considered "ALL THAT"? I realize she has done 2 OK movies (Gia & Girl Interrupted) but the rest of her movies are pretty much the same thing over & over. She has adopted some kids & helped charity's. On the other hand, she had an affair with a married man, stole someones husband, has illegitimate kids that don't stay in one place long enough to make friends or attend school, and has assisted in humiliating Jennifer Aniston. And then Jennifer Aniston is raked over the coals when she calls Angelina's comments about falling in love with Brad on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith "uncool". It is crazy.
17I agree Cindy.
It won't be long before people open their eyes and see her for what she is. Just like Tom Cruise...the infatuation never lasts forever.
18Well sarahdeg, how about you write an editorial the Times-Picayune asking the citizens if they'd like them all to pack up and don't come back. I really would like to see the reaction.
For those who would like to know the positives and the other side of how the film industry is being a positive in NOLA, here's a link to just how that's happening, and while you're there, check out the projects coming so you won't be left with the impression Brad Pitt is the only actor acting there.

19YES why is Angelina consider at all? I believe this is about a BRAD PITT interview!! IT IS NOT ABOUT ANGELINA and please fast forward to 2008 your rant is rather old.

We all have been down that subjects rode to many times to count, and at the risk of sounding like I'm speaking for the masses, "we've been there, done that one, and it's pretty much been decided by those who would agree with you and not that it's over." That dog don't hunt no more. It's toast, it's blah blah blah, it's dead. Jen, Angie, Brad have moved on and so have we if we let ourselves.
Let that tired subject go back to sleep please.
21I'm pretty sure the six kids comment was a joke. As far as the marriage thing, whatever works for them. It's their lives
22I agree with Cindy. Why do Brad and Angie get a pass for exploiting every moment of their private lives while Jen is 'raked over the coals' for making the uncool comment? This is the first interview where Brad doesn't exploit his family. Someone must have told him it cheapens it so that's what he says now about keeping his family life private. For people who claim not to have a publicist someone must have done some research for them and told them this never-ending lack of discretion was hurting their careers. It's amazing people still like this guy when he is so transparent.
23and once again, they come out. Scout/Cindy, since you two are own and the same. Give it up already. You keep joining here under multiple names just to post the same old thing in Brad and Angelina posts. You're obsession at this point is a bit unnerving. It's almost 2009. You're precious Jen has moved on long ago, she's in a new relationship now. She's happy and doing her own thing. You're not doing her any favors by constantly bringing up someone who hasn't been in her life for almost 4 years now. Why don't you focus on that instead of bringing the same old argument and each and every post.
24Actually when you do movies in a place it creates jobs and tourism.
25OMG Scott it's not that deep, why do you waste so much energy on trying to convince other people on how terrible Brad and Angelina are. There is nothing wrong with not liking them but no need to post the same sh*t in every thread.
26Cinquette-
Actually the NY Times has already reported that taxpayers were outraged.
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/12/us/12incentives.html?_r=3&hp=&oref=slo...
Who said Brad Pitt is the only actor out there? Of course he isn't, but he is the one accepting the $27million, the highest amount paid every in LA.
27Again Sarah its not that deep are you a New Orleans taxpayer? Were the taxpayers mad when Denzel did Deja Vu in the N.O.? That a serious question, I'm not even being sarcastic.
28wadewifey, there's no arguing with her/him/them. This person like to come on multiple names just to spew the same junk over and over again on each post that has to do with Brad and/or Angelina. Just check profiles to see when they join and what posts they post under. The evidence is very clear.
29Poor, poor Myst. Can't handle the fact that more than one person despises her beloved idols. Feel free to check out other blogs. Unless one person can use thousands of different names at once I believe there are lots of people out there who don't like Brad Pitt. Besides, I think it's Angie that won't let it go four years after the fact. Why else keep giving interviews where she changes her story about when she fell in love with Brad? This love-triangle thing is good for her business. Also, it doesn't change the fact that all they do is exploit their children and their relationship. And that's very 2008 Miss Myst. From the looks of it, maybe someone told Brad he needs to try a new approach for 2009. Like keeping his stupid mouth shut about his family. After years and years of exploiting every moment of their private lives it can't come a moment too soon.
30saradeg I'm sorry, but there is not one paragraph or sentence that even suggests that there's a public outcry in NOLA over any of this. Yes, a politician or two plus a civil servant or two b*tched, and I'm certain all did so because someone told them to, but other than this, "and the link is provided for others to read what isn't in there thank you very much," this article proves squat about the taxpayers storming the capital over Hollywood NOLA style.
31people enjoy liking angelina because it makes them feel like they are doing something good.like buying a prius or bragging about their organic diet.
32Myst, the syntax and in my opinion, "verbage" in both Cindy and Scouts posts lead me to also believe them to be one in the same.
33TYou are right, I read the nymag synopsis not the actual TImes.
http://nymag.com/daily/entertainment/2008/10/are_completely_ridiculous_t...
I'm actually a taxpayer in RI & NY. I don't believe my tax dollars are well spent on films. RI experienced the fruitlessness of these ventures years ago. Money should be spent on long term job security, not some film that brings a few months of "tourism" revenue. I have yet to meet someone that actually traveled with the purpose of seeing a movie being filmed. Maybe you actually went to NO to see Brad and contributed?
That is my opinion, I understand you may not like it but cause you are a Brad Pitt fan, and that is your right.
34Lol! Ok wackydeli. Um deli. Thanks alot, now I'm hungry.
35Scout, or whoever you choose to be today, why don't you give it up already. It's pretty clear to everyone on here, just form your post that you are the same person who continues to come on saying the same thing over and over again. We get it. You HATE them, they are the scums of the earth and exploiter of children. Angelina is blood drinking, brother kissing, nymphomaniac who snatch Brad from your precious Jennifer and trapped Brad with her vile ways and her horde of children. Did I get it all? As as said before you obsession with them is pretty obvious and at this point disturbing. Why don't move on and get some help while you're at it.
36"people enjoy liking angelina because it makes them feel like they are doing something good.like buying a prius or bragging about their organic diet."
Uhhh no, mindreader.
Well my parents did go to New Orleans after Deja Vu came out, so I do know someone who went their because of a movie.
Myst I know their are people who have multiple accounts but I don't feel looking anyone's profile.
37I'm actually not in love with Brad or Angelina but I don't despise them either. I don't really despise any celebrities because its not that serious to hate someone you truly don't know. I don't care, but when people come on here with the same old tired sh*t its lame and annoying. At least come up with a different argument.
38Myst, you're obsession with defending them is hilarious. If I bother you so much why do you keep responding to my scout00 posts? Don't know who the other person is but I think it's awesome that you think we are the same person. Not really sure what you gain from that but if it makes you feel better then great. Gotta go, but let's do this again sometime.
39Mamma mia, here I go again, my my, how can I resist ya.........
40lol Lisa. don't resist. And Scout, lady, man, and whatever you are, please. Unlike you, I don't have the time to hate on people. If you don't like them, don't like them. Don't waste your time and energy following every story on them just to say how much you don't like them, you'd find the feeling refreshingly uplifting.
41Evidently cities find some benefit in giving tax breaks to film there. NYC upped their tax break (I think it's 30% now, plus other benefits.) Seattle, San Francisco, Miami and dozens of other cities have given tax breaks as a way to lure film business to their cities. Some cities even spend money on staff to solicit film makers. That's been going on for decades.
42brad doesn't want to talk about his kids, for real? Much improvement then. Well keep that up and people might warm to you brad.
43As for now, you look exhausted and your good will is getting really boring. Sorry brangelina worshipers i do not like brad. Never have and never ever will, unless he changes how he runs his image. What a coward!
44This dude is so brainwashed ny his woman(((( He talks just like her. He has no personality, i'm so dissapointed((( Angie is a control freak....a very intelligent control freak....SHe so got him wrapped, hehe
45I just watched this nonsence...is it me, or does he seem a little crazy? He's twisting and turning, he just doesn't seem "normal"? His body language is very confusing, so unmanly ((( Stupid interview, not deep at all (((
46Six kids is pretty easy, but I guess it is harder when you're a celebrity.
47He was joking when he made this statement: "Surprisingly though, six kids is not as easy as you would think."
If any of you actually watched the video, you would understand that he is kidding.
Pretty boring interview, I have to say...I can't believe they've only built 8 homes. It seems like they should've been able to build more in the past year or so, but I guess it's all about "affordability" as Brad says.
48Wow, I am tired after reading all of the comments. Brad always provokes discussion doesnt he lol.
49I think it was a sweet interview and his eyes twinkle when he speaks about his children. He seems to be truly happy, finally!
duuuuuh...yeah, let's let the kids decide...grow a set Bradley
