Michelle Williams sipped a coffee while Matilda munched on a snack as the mother daughter duo took a walk in chilly Brooklyn yesterday. The ladies have Winter ahead of them, but there are plenty of sunny things to look forward to in 2009. Michelle scored a lead actress nomination for an Independent Spirit Award, with Wendy and Lucy and her film Synecdoche, New York earned an ensemble cast nod as well. Last night Michelle got her award season started at the Gotham Awards in NYC, and also made time for her man Spike. Hopefully with a hard year behind her, Michelle can spend the rest of 2008 enjoying Spike and Matilda and preparing for good things to come.

matilda really does look more and more like her dad every time we see her. it's got to be a double edged sword for michelle.
anyway, i think that it's great that she and spike are still so happy together, and it's wonderful that she's finally getting the nods from the industry that she deserves since i really do think that she's a great actress.
1I love Matilda. She's the cutest ever!
2SPIKE! she has amazing taste in men
3At least SOMEONE puts their child in a coat, scarf and hat when it's cold...
4there was pic at some other page where matilda smiled and she looked exactly like her mum. so it is not 100% Heath. but she does have a lot of resemblance.
congrats for nominations too!
5I only see Heath in Matilda. Love Michelle as an actress, and yet one who keeps it real by living in Bklyn. A true NY-er.
6Totally did NOT know she was dating anyone
7I never really liked OR disliked Michelle, but in that picture of her with Spike, she's really pretty! I always thought she was kind of plain jane before, but when she's done up, she's very pretty.
And of course Matilda is just a little doll baby!
8I really do think Michelle is one of the most gorgeous women in Hollywood. Matilda is a doll.
