Victoria Beckham is taking the world by storm, again. Her new dress line sold out before it even hit the racks and, lucky her, she needs no model or celebrity face other than herself to sell her sexy, sultry, sophisticated brand. This time she's posing on the cover of Harper's Bazaar talking in her usual down to earth way and earning some awesome compliments from Heidi Klum to Marc Jacobs and more. Here are highlights:
- On her persona: "I go into hair and makeup, and I turn into 'Victoria Beckham.' I'll try on all my dresses, and I'll pick out a handbag, and I'll put on the shades. I instantly turn into this person, and it sort of feels like a character. And there are so many pictures of it. . . But it's a true character because it's still me. . . If I go to the supermarket looking like sh*t, that affects my work. I am selling an image. Plus, I have fun with it."
- On posing: "I have started smiling. I've mastered this smirk; it's a smile that isn't a smile. . . I used to get so nervous, and when I got on the red carpet, I'd freeze up. I've had so many things said about me over the years, like a public bullying. . . The older you get, the more comfortable you become with yourself, and you accept what you have physically. Also, the fact that my business is doing very well" — she smiles — "makes me feel a little more confident, too."
- On having another baby: "I'm such a girl's girl. I walk into my closet and go, 'Crikey!' To one day hand that down to another girl ..." But no, she is not pregnant. "You get a little water retention; it's not news. Me, Katie [Holmes], Eva [Longoria], and Kate [Beckinsale] always joke about how one of us is allegedly pregnant, but no, we're just a little bloated today! None of us is pregnant."
To see what she has to say about her engagement to David and feelings about the paparazzi just read more.
- On her engagement: "It was a really happy time. We've had a lot of ups and a lot of downs. We've been married for nine years. I love him more now than when I first met him." She pauses. "Back then, there was a certain innocence. I look back and think if only I knew then what I know now. I've toughened up a lot."
- On the paparazzi: "I don't complain about paparazzi because I've put myself in that position, and so has David. But I always say to the boys, someone is going to take your picture because you're handsome or you're smart or because you're so good at soccer. But every now and again, Romeo might pick up one of David's cameras and say, 'Victoria, Victoria, over here!' And his attitude is sort of angry."

WOW. I haven't heard many celebrities say that they've put themselves 'in that position.' She seems very savvy.
1You know, this is not my type of celebrity (as far as fashion and looks) but I really like Posh. She's a joy to read about. I think she knows the game and how to play it well without losing her head or style.
2I'm with you bonniebonnie. It's difficult for me to not respect someone who takes the time to dress age appropriate and simply dress to do even silly errands--no exercise top that looks like she's only wearing a bra, no juicy on her ass, no homeless chic...it's nice to bring back class to leaving the house.
3the more interviews I read about her, the more I like her. She seems really honest and down to earth. I always expect the opposite..
4I really love Victoria. It's so fun to watch the way she dresses and she really is beautiful, but it's fascinating to watch her in interviews. She puts on the cold, high-fashion facade, but when you see her talk she's warm and funny. Very likable. And I do wish she'd actually smile more because she has a beautiful smile.
5I appreciate her honesty. She knows who she is versus what she represents and doesn't try to play the 'dual persons' gimmick. No matter what side of a multifaceted personality you're on that day...it's still going in YOUR permanent file. I love that she gets that
6didnt know she can bloat..lol but i like the interview
7she looks GREAT on that cover!
8shes awesome.
9The cover is great. I would've loved to see this interview live, she has such great personality and humor when she speaks.
10Makes me like her more! Though she seems so tiny, she is definitely real. It's nice to see a celeb with class!
11She tends to get a bad rap but I think she is great too. Very honest and self effacing plus she knows how to dress. I still love her short hair as well, not very many people can pull it off and she does. She looks great in the pics.
12She looks amazing on the cover!
13Always been my favorite spice girl
I fell in love with Victoria when she did the special on moving to the U.S. She really knows how to laugh and have a good time it appears. Could you imagine going to lunch with Victoria, Eva Longoria, Katie Holmes and Kate Beckinsale? I imagine laughing the entire time!
14wow she looks beautiful, love the bit about the smirk lol. the biggest downside to the press is they are so up their own arses they don't get the brit sense of humour or turn it round to not being funny just divaish, thing is the media in my country don't know what they would do without 'posh and becks' so they either bring them up or take them down so they have something to write about, its such a shame because when you watch them on ali g or parky they are just the most normal couple you would see walking down the high street, they are of course seriously gorgeous though soo....maybe not every single couple lol. she looks a tad like Halle Berry here.
15i love her - i think that it's great that she's got this persona but it has to be hard to be her seeing as how she's always in the spotlight and all that.
16I think she (and David) is the most HONEST celebrity ever! I've never heard the Beckhams say they are hating the paps for taking their picture everyday, or their life is being abused by the paps and the media constantly..because they KNOW that is the part they should pay for doing what they do - for being celebrities! Unlike (for example) Jen Anniston who blames the Vogue and the tabloid for manipulating her words, or Brad Pitt in his most recent interview where he said the paps are disturbing his life and how he hates them so much...the Beckhams just accept it and move on, and if they can run, they run. That's why I love them.
And oh..she is gorgeous in the mag. Congrats to her on the success of her line and life!
17Is it me or it's kinda smile on her face?
18I like her even more now! T
19I like her even more now! T
20I like her even more now! T
21Oh gosh, sorry about the triple post. My computer went crazy
I've fixed it now.
22She is just so charming and stylish. I can't get enough of her.
23Though I have to say its scary that the anger of the paparazzi is clearly affecting her children. Poor boys.
24i love her because she's cool!
she's funny, got style, doesn't take herself
seriously and knows what's up
25she has such a nice personality
26Love her! She seems like a real down to earth person.
27she's funny..but I don't know I'm kind of bored with her style. Its pencil skirs and high heels all the time...I'm kind of over it. I wish she would branch out a bit.
28I love her new haircut! Works for her...
29i like her...she seems "real"...spending time with her kids...knowing that being famous gets the paps after you...seems like a cool kinda gal
30Agree, I like how she never leaves the house looking unkempt! I feel the same way.
Although the smile thing is really an obession of hers isn't it?
31Im just gonna say love her because mostly everyone else have say`ed what i wanted to say
32There is something I really like about her. Can't quite put my finger on it. She seems so down to earth, she seems like she's a great mum and she's really funny in her TV interviews...
33I have lost the will to scorn and mock.
34The hair is far better than that awful bob that looked like a helmet. More fashionista, less WAG.
Lisa is there a faint smiley?? Because i need one in reaction to your comment
I will not
allow it! who am i gonna be sarcastic with now?
lol messing
And everyone pretty much said it all above. People think she is up herself but the joke is on them because she actually GETS IT lol. When she is out of the house she is the media's "victoria beckham".
When its her and her boys she's Victoria Beckham the mother and wife.
Adore her
35Just for you lilflowa I wil keep it up then. I am already thinking of new evil things to say hahahahahhahhahhahahhaahhahah
36I like the subtle smile on the cover.
37I still dislike the image she sells
Flawless ♥
38Gotta love this woman!
I love her
She seems like a really cool person to hang out with in real life. She was
always my favorite Spice Girl.
That being said, I don't really like the cover photo but the inside pictures are beautiful. If I were her, I would hate to have to dress up so much just to go grocery shopping but I guess that's what she likes to do.
39Everyone thinks she's this super famous wanting snob...but REAL Spice Girl fans like me know that she's super down to earth and is really funny and normal...with LOADS of money.
40Well I guess I'm the minority here. I still don't like her, and I hate her haircut, it makes her look like a bird.
41She sure is classy! I like Victoria. I would have enjoyed if they did more than one episode of her Coming to America thing or whatever it was called. She seems like a very nice lady.
