Last night the Grammy Awards [1] took a new approach to nominations, making it a televised primetime event instead of reading out the nods early in the morning. John Mayer was one of the headliners and he also took home five nominations while Mariah sang and won two. Don't worry, Kanye's name is on the list too. Former Grammy winner Christina Aguilera isn't up for any this year, but she still got all gussied up for the red carpet. Taylor Swift hosted the night, but it was her ex Joe Jonas who may not be your dream guy [2], but picked up a nod for Best New Artist with the rest of the Jonas Brothers. In the end though, as we all know it was the year of Coldplay and Lil Wayne who led the nominations, check them out here [3].
