Suri Cruise took her doll and stuffed animal expertise to FAO Schwarz in NYC last night, and even let her parents tag along for the trip. She made her way through the store picking out toys, games, and candy, but the gifts weren't for her own personal collection. Tom and Katie had the store open just for them after closing hours so that they could stock up on presents to donate to needy children through the Stockings With Care organization. It's no surprise to see celebrities getting into the holiday spirit of giving — especially since Katie's Broadway show has been doing so well — but it's doubly special to see Suri getting in on the fun, too.

How are paps allowed to follow people around in the stores? You'd think FAO would be able to keep them out as a security issue.

2is that girl ever dressed for proper weather? I was in NY for the weekened and it was freezing.
3In other words, the store stayed open just for the Cruise family and their photographer pals evidently.
Maybe it's just the over saturation in the media, or her transition from toddler to little girl, but I think Suri is shedding some of her cute factor.
4She's inside the store, I don't think it's very cold in there. They probably put a coat on her when they went out the store.
5How often does this kid go toy shopping? They must have a separate penthouse suite just for all her toys...

7i think that it's great that they are doing this - and that they are teaching suri what it means to pick things out for other kids who aren't as fortunate as she is.

12The photos were taken from outside, there are huge windows and glass doors, there are blinds for some of the larger windows but not all of them unfortunately. FAO does not allow paps in to the store.

14I love what Katie is wearing. This 2 are just adorable and the last time Katie took Isabella and Connor to do some volunteer work for the poor at East L.A. and even gave presents and christmas trees many families.

Why cant this family shop like normal people do, like you know, during normal opening hours?

22I just wish they could conduct themselves a little more normally...Like the Affleck's or the Rossdale's. Why does Suri need to be dressed like a Stepford baby all the time? Violet and Kingston are gonna be SO much better adjusted to real life. Even the Pitt-Jolie clan is more real world normal?!

24They might not allow paps into the store, but they did allow the photographers that were personally hired by the Cruises to take the photos of them "buying toys for charity" --- and then make sure those photos hit the press the very next day.

I think you will find that many, many, many big stars contribute in big, big charitable ways during the holidays. The point is very few bring along a press team. LOL...
28So true, Myst and CiaoBella! Once again Katie is all bundled up in a warm coat while Suri goes sleeveless! Do they think real Scientology babies don't feel cold? My heart bleeds for her with every pic. get the kid a coat!
