Britney Spears was makeup free and all by herself behind the wheel of her car last night, something she hasn't done much of since her dad took over conservatorship and she's been accompanied by any number of handlers over the past year. Circus debuted at number one on the charts this week, but that doesn't mean she's going to be getting a lot more freedom. In fact, in an effort to make sure she is protected on tour next year, all her backup dancers have to be drug tested to make sure Brit isn't around any bad influences. Plus, while GMA wants Britney back for a sitdown interview, The Today Show balked after hearing all her demands. She certainly can't let that get her down, however, when she still gets to have a blast caroling with Ellen back in LA.

1I actually legitimately heard Womanizer for the first time on the way to work today, it's absolutely TERRIBLE! I'm surprised it was even 50% warmly received!
2This might be it, the final album from her with any significant air play or record sales. If her phsyche is delicate enough to warrant drug- testing dancers regardless of her security unit/ task force, I don't know how successful this particular 'comeback' will be.

5I would think that all the precautions that they are taking is a result of actually having management again. I am guessing that this happens a lot more than we even here. I don't think any of this is really surprising. A lot of people are working very hard to have her comeback be successful - if it was your job to make it work, wouldn't you do everything necessary to make sure you took all precautions?

14Her hair looks greasy and unkempt again. God knows sometimes I look like crap sometimes when I go out, but not like this. And I know I would try to look better if I had tons of paparazzi following me every day.
15That's right, californiagirlx7. She may look "casual" but sheesh! It's not like I get totally dolled up just to run a simple errand but, I never look THAT unkempt!
16Good for her, I'm happy for her. Her little boys need her to keep it together. She should keep them on her mind and let the rest of the junk go for now. I hope she makes it.
17well i think that it's just being smart for her to know what her dancers are doing since they are going to be with her for so long. i can just hope that it means that she'll be too busy rehearsing or performing to get into trouble, but i also hope that she'll be able to see her kids from time to time while she's on the road.

Everyone wears sweatpants, and I'd also like to point out that hers appear to say "freedom" which makes sense to me because, although it may just be a symbol of some brand, she was talking in her documentary about how she misses the freedom and how driving was her escape etc. and now shes out without bodyguards and looking like a normal human being, experiencing the freedom she hasn't had in a long time.
I have seen people in public looking MUCH, MUUUUUCH worse than a 300$ track suit and a messy ponytail. Some people are just so harsh.

21Um, Britney without makeup looks like Britney without makeup. How is this shocking to people? I agree her hair could look a little better, but it's clear that she's just running errands, so what's the big deal?
22I'm glad she is getting back on track again. I'm no "leave Britney alone" fan however it does make me annoyed when people are so prepared to trash others. Brit doesn't look that bad just running errands. Would I go out in that look? No. However Brit use to MUCH worse when just going out.
Plus, I think it is smart to have the dancers tested for drugs. It is her tour and she needs healthy beings in her life; not pill-popping influences. They are helping her take control and manage herself & her career again. Okay, I'm done.
23I didn't say she needs a hair and make-up team, but she could try a little bit more. I don't take issue with her sweatpants either, I just detest her hair extensions because they look so ratty when she doesn't take time to care for them. That's all.
24I could care less how she looks, I just don't think she's ready for a comeback, mentally or emotionally that is. Just my opinion...and my first opinion in a looong time!! It's been months since I've posted.
