Pete Wentz went shopping with a friend in LA yesterday picking up what looks like some colorful goodies for his new son. Most of you wouldn't buy a magazine with Bronx on the cover, but Pete revealed Bronx's baby pictures weren't up for sale in the first place. Apparently it was Joe shopping around the photos, but Pete has stepped in to talk about his and Ashlee's decision. In a blog titled "ring ring, its the truth calling":
About baby pics gossip: truth is like every celeb couple we were offered mounds and mounds of money by mags from here to Guam to pimp out the baby. We just don't want to go down that road with him.
We are not placing judgment on those that do as they often use the money in a very charitable way. However, we have made the decision to not sell Bronx's baby pictures right now. . . . We understand the curiosity, just not the viciousness that comes along with it when it becomes so insatiable. We know there will be a time when we'll share him with everyone because that insatiable curiosity becomes unsafe or simply because we're proud parents who want to show him off! We know our fans support and care about us and want to know about our family and we've always been straight up and open with those who care about us most, so at some time, when it makes sense, Bronx will be out in the world.
In the meantime, we'd like to say thank you to those who have allowed us relative privacy in letting us just be a family for now — and to enjoy all the happiness he's brought us.

We're excited to see Ashlee's mini me, but until his parents feel like the time is right, we'll settle for Pete's celebrity blogging and getting to see Ashlee out and about with their friends instead.

6well i think that it's nice that they aren't selling the pictures - and to be honest, i'm kind of tired of hearing about how it was soo insane this past year with how much people were making for the pics. oh well. at least we know that they are coming from a good place, and hopefully pappa joe will just let them be. he tends to interfere tooooooo often.

20I'd love to see little baby Bronx, but I am really glad that they are doing this. Whether or not it's the 100% truth, we will never know, but the fact that they are taking a stand makes me smile. Why can't they do like Gwen Stefani did with Zuma, though, and just post a pic on the blog?

It's a good thing they're not selling their baby pics...never really understood why it's now mandatory to have a cover everytime a baby is born...My respect goes for all those celebrities who simply decided not to "sell" their baby's image!!
