Will Smith was in Charlotte, NC, yesterday for the latest screening of Seven Pounds. His film isn't out until next Friday, but there will still be some Smith family action at the box office this weekend with the release of his son Jaden's The Day the Earth Stood Still. Even without the company of his costar Rosario Dawson, there was plenty of Will's goodwill to go around. Like his other recent premieres, Will organized a food drive to go along with his appearance keeping up his charitable holiday spirit.

1you have to wonder how it would feel again if his son's movie does better than his does. granted they aren't opening on the same weekend so it's not 'apples to apples' but still.

5I live here too pixigirl! I didn't go but a lot of people at my school went to Stonecrest to get his pic and autograph and all that. I still don't really understand why he came here...I'm guessing this pics are from Stonecrest. That's my movie theater! Now that is pretty cool.

10I live in Charlotte as well, and am MAJORLY PISSED I didn't know about his visit here. I think I read somewhere that Jada is filming a TV show that takes place in Charlotte, so I think that might have something to do with him being here.
11I'm not a huge fan of Will in his serious roles but even I have to admit that seven pounds looks good.
12Okay.. there are a lot of people here that live in Charlotte because I live here too... and I got to meet him at this event. He was here for a charity event too!!! He is so nice and such a cheerful person. It was cool.
