Billy Bush is an ass. He interviewed Jeremy Piven at the Emmys Sunday night and asked all the wrong questions. Billy chose to continuously ask him if he had seen Hollywood's mysterious babies like Suri and Shiloh instead of talking about his big nomination. During the red-carpet prelude to the Emmys, "Access Hollywood's" Bush corralled "Entourage's" Piven, and began a line of questioning concerning celebrity babies. Piven had just flown in from Arizona, where he was shooting a movie with Jennifer Garner, and so Bush asked him about Garner's baby Violet.
Bush then asked Piven if, given that Piven lives in Malibu, whether he had laid eyes on Brangelina's baby Shiloh. Piven said he hadn't, explaining that he had "116 other things to do...I don't go hunting for celebrity babies, thank you, Billy."
Undeterred, or clearly not getting the message, Bush then asked if he'd seen Suri Cruise. Piven finally lost his patience. "You need another job. You have potential as a human being," said Piven, not at all hiding his irritation. "This may not be right for you. Seriously -- can you focus on other things?"
In related Piven Emmy news, R&M report that after he won the prize as best supporting actor, he accidentally cut himself on the chin while kissing his Emmy. It wasn't until he kissed someone else and got blood all over their face that he noticed. Eww, gross.

And besides, keeping a good image involves having a sense of humor and knowing how to deal with dumb questions. being rude does not help.

Shouldn't someone whose job it is to interview celebrities have a clue how to conduct an interview? You're supposed to ask relevant questions about the interviewee!

30I was watching this, and seriously every actor who Billy Bush interviewed looked bewildered by his questions. He was either on something, or he is just a moron. I felt so bad for the actors...they are all so excited on their big night and then they have some person who just isn't making any sense at all asking them ridiculous questions. Jeremy was really blunt, but it obviously didn't hirt Billy's feelings because he just kept going with that stupid line of questioning! It was so cringe-worthy I had to change the channel.

37I heard it was in Billy Bush's AH contract to never reveal ties between him and W, bc so many people in entertainment hate the president. And so it's not a well known fact that they're cousins despite their common last name.
38Actually, Billy Bush was the one who asked that his name not be automatically associated with GWB's name because he wanted to "make it on his own merits," according to an interview with his college online newspaper. If you go to any of the informational outlets, his being GWB's cousin is pretty much out in the open, HE just doesn't want to appear to be riding on the Bush coattails, so he claims. That said, he annoys me to no end. I don't find him particularly funny.
