Should have been Lakisha and Melinda in the finals if you based it off of vocals alone. But I think that overall, Blake has the best chance to have a successful pop career.

Well I am kind of forced into voting for Blake. (I wonder who from Pop makes me vote for him) I haven't got to watch much of this show because I have class on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

However, I did love last season of American Idol. Best season hands down.

I went to the American Idol concert last year. AMAZING!!! loved every minute of it.

What would have been great is if they put a bag over Elliot's head before he came out, so I didn't have to look at that hideous hair for 5 mins!

I love my Jordin. I will be so sad if she does not win. Although I loved Melinda, she is no an American Idol. She is too mature and soulful to be put in that category. I think America got it right based on American Idol. All I have to say is JORDIN BETTER WIN!!!

I for one am shocked, appalled and disappointed. Of all the contestants this season, Melinda was the only one that was truly deserving of a spot in the finals. Blake is different and occasionally entertaining but he's a crappy vocalist (and even he knows it) while Jordin is ridiculously overrated. Vocally she can't hold a candle to Melinda.

I guess this means Go Blake, at least he's fun to watch.

I LOVE Blake but was stunned Melinda went home. I thought Blake was out last night for sure. Even he looked shocked! He's a great, sensitive guy with compassion and good attitude. Did you see his face after Ryan announced Jordin was safe? Pure joy and happiness. I can't wait to see what he'll do after AI! I also wish Melinda a successful singing career. She was also a favorite of mine.

DesignRchic: I was a huge Elliot fan last season!! I thought his teeth were lookin so much better as for the hair I could do without it, lol...but like you said I totally love his peprsonality and voice! He can truly sing and he seems soooo appreciative of it all!!!

I'm rooting for Blake. He's done so many songs from artists that I personally enjoy (the Keane song, Maroon 5, Thicke, etc.) and I just kind of think there are a lot of "big-voiced" singers like Jordin out there now. He always looks like he's having fun, too. Plus, I just kind of think Blake is more marketable--I mean, I know Jordin's 17 and all, but most 17-year-olds I know aren't gonna buy her album if she sings about puppies and rainbows and dreams, like all the other AI "coronation" songs. Just sayin.

Boomerangs would also hurt. I can't help it just don't think he has any appeal... I didn't like Chris either though, it's like watching a really sappy part in a chick flick.

Ah, also, loved ELLIOTT on the show last night!!! (He should go back to the spiky hair though). But it was so awesome to see how much he's grown as a performer...I burned through the phone lines last year voting for him.

He does! It came out last month!! Its pretty good...very soulful/r&bish! He has a song on there called Take My Breath Away (and not not a re-make of the original song, lol) it's soooo beautiful!

If it's not Melinda and Kiki, it should've been Melinda and Blake. Jordin is sweet and has a nice voice, but I wouldn't buy her album. I'd buy any of the others.
