Tom Cruise made a rare solo red carpet appearance at the NY premiere of Valkyrie last night but by the after party Katie was by his side in purple eyeliner. It's been a quieter publicity whirlwind for Tom this time as he carefully treads the line of talking about his life but not causing any controversy. Yesterday he and Matt Lauer once again showed it's all water under the bridge and Tom is quick to repeat that his fall from grace three years ago was more than he bargained for, saying, "As I've said, I want an adventurous life. . . And yet I've gotten a little bit more adventure than I bargained for." There's only more adventure ahead and with Tom's history he's got something big planned for Katie's 30th birthday on Thursday and the holidays next week.

awesome. they all look so movie star glam. now this is the tom i know and love! can't wait to see this movie.
1i'm so excited that he's able to promote this movie so well and at the same time he's able to regain the fans that he may have lost a while back. i've always been a die hard cruise fan, and i was never one of the skeptics about the katie/tom marriage thing. she looks great there with him (although i miss her long hair) and i can't wait to hear about what he's doing for her birthday.

I still find it odd that a movie with a subject like that has it's opening in theaters on Christmas day.

If he never made another movie again, he would still be set for life (a life of luxury, that is). I know it's the holiday season, but I'm sure we can find those more in need of charity. LOL
And Katie really does need to stop with the slouching and head bowing. Her posture is really going to suffer.
