Jennifer Garner continued her weekday routine of picking up Violet from preschool yesterday, except this time they wore a few more layers than usual. While they went about their business, Ben Affleck was off at the UN headquarters in NYC debuting a documentary short he recently filmed in the Congo called "Gimme Shelter," which you can check out in its entirety. It's the latest project in Ben's efforts to draw attention to the country's ongoing humanitarian crisis, and hopefully it brings him and the people of the Congo some success.

1I love this pic of Jen & Violet - such a cute mommy/daughter moment. You can almost feel the love oozing out of Jen. She's a great mom......Oh, & Ben looks pretty lovely as well. Good for him for trying to make a difference. I wish more celebrities would put their status to good use.
