Jake Gyllenhaal was back in LA last week to spend time with Reese Witherspoon and her family before his 28th birthday on Friday. It was rumored that Reese had a big bash planned for her man, but on the actual day they kept things to just a party of two. Reese took him to Giorgio Baldi for a romantic dinner, complete with wine, candlelight, and lots of gazing into each other's eyes. On Saturday Deacon joined them for a special pizza lunch and on Sunday the couple went shopping in Brentwood. Hopefully sexy Jake will have some more time off from filming Prince of Persia so that he and Reese can keep smiling right into the holidays.

it's funny but I think the celebs that try to work the press rather than tolerate it (which is about 90% of them) are probably worried that the public is catching onto the games .... back in the day a closeted actor could rely on a studio to make up a back story and personal life that fit whatever they were trying to sell ..
however, given the multitudes that still believe the Reese/Jake sitch and other manufactured relationships like Tom/Katie etc I guess they have some breathing room still!
