katie just looks so sad. this marriage has aged her.

i think that in some pictures she looks older, but there are so many times that she still looks her age. i think that this weekend must have sucked for her being away from tom and being in the middle of tourist infested NYC going shopping. i know that i HATED it myself and i'm not followed by photogs. suri doesn't look all that happy though - i wonder if she was cranky.

that sucks that katie won't be able to go to the GG this year i wonder if maybe they can get an under study to perform that night.

It's sad that she looks miserable and exhausted most of the time. And if being away from Tom makes her this miserable, there is something unhealthy about that relationship. I bet she's thrilled when this play she's in is done.

Socks, Socks, Socks, why no socks on this child? I live in NYC, it was freezing this weekend. Even if they go from SUV to SUV to Store back to SUV, it is still freezing.
Why never properly dressed, what is their issue? I can not tell you how long it takes me some AM's to dress my 2 yr old, yes, they are fussy and complain and thrash about, BUT SO WHAT? Who is in charge here.

I agree it's sad. Has she ever once, during all this time in NYC, been seen with a friend? Maybe just getting coffee or sharing a kids play date at a park? (And--please--I'm *not* talking about the three day publicity photo-fest with the Beckhams that kicked off Tom's promotional tour for his movie.)

It would be nice to see Katie with life in her eyes again. Didn't Nicole Kidman once make reference to living life 'in a gilded cage'? I guess she knew what she was talking about.

agree with a few of you...I too am tired of their faces on a daily basis (although Suri is cute)...Kate (aka Katie) looks like sh*t most days - like the Crypt Keeper from that HBO show...she has frickin cold sores on her mouth, which reappear every so often (hmmmmm)...looking aged, old, depressed etc etc...but yet the world's most happy housewife to her childhood crush - yeaaaah right

I saw a show on the most expensive weddings in 2008... of course Tom and Katie were in there. Katie just looked so young and vibrant in her wedding photos. Here... she just looks well beyond 30 if you ask me. ilanac did make a good point that in some photos she does still look young. *sigh*

Justjared had pics of her and she was lookin rough. She looks a lot better and Suri is looking cute with her outfit. But I dare Pop not to post a pic of them for a week.

I finally have found something worse than adult twins dressing the same: mother and daughter in matching headbands/haircuts/outfits. And this duo has committed all three crimes at some point. Oy.

ever since she became "Kate" she looks older, miserable, and lonely. She needs to bring back KATIE, but I don't think that will happen. I just find something very odd in that marriage, didn't Nicole Kidman say she kind of felt trapped married to Tom, and lost her sense of self? Who knows..

Suri is precious.....Katie actually looks really young but this woman is allowed to be tired. I dont even know how she does it with her big family,the everyday work hours she has and still makes time for their charities.

This is one all around beautiful family. Katie cant win no matter what because some complain she looks so young for Tom and she looks so young on the bigscreen and now you hear she looks old. Its like the thin and fat issues for most stars.
But its no use preaching to the usual haters.

I think she is just tired, she has a young child, her husband isn't there and she is doing a play every night.

Why is everyone so hard on her?

The double standards only apply to Katie and Tom. So what if she is tired? that's normal. You dont see headlines and pics of Carrie Anne Moss or Jen Garner hospitalized for passing out making Matrix and The Kingdom or Julia Roberts,Brooke Shields,Ethan Hawke,Denzel,Jane Krakowsky looking so exhausted during their Broadway run.

Okay...am I the only one who thinks the matching mom/daughter outfits, headbands, hair cuts stuff is creeeeeeeeeeepy?! Seriously creeps me out......I mean, is this normal behavior? It just seem so odd to me.

She doesn't look so bad here. Just a little sad...hopefully she will be able to rest soon.

As one of the comments said before, it's probably just that Suri got tired of the headband and katie probably put it on. It is a very mom thing to do.

I will say though she does look totally run down. I think every mom has every right to be run down, but she just never looks happy. It's like she's completely vacant. Very sad.

I think Katie is just tired from acting in 8 shows a week and raising a 2 year old by herself for the time being.

Tom can call her Kate, but she will always be Katie to me!!

But all she has to do all day is play with her daughter and go to her play. She makes a few appearances and shopping in between.

She is chauffeured everywhere and has a team of people 24/7 so she never has to go grocery shopping, cook, look for a parking place, pay her bills, find a babysitter and all the other things most mothers juggle. She has access to unlimited spa and masseuse treatments if she feels a little run down. Makes it difficult for me to feel sorry for her.

Ginger--all she has to do is "go to her play"? You make it sound like she's in the audience! Working 7 days a week, for anyone, is exhausting. I get tired when I have to work 6 days a week or lose more than one weekend a month.

I think it's good to see Suri in jeans... I know some little girls hate hate hate pants, so I think it's good Katie is bringing her around.

I think her point is that Katie Holmes lives a life of luxury that very few people in the world can even imagine. She has complete and total financial security, her child will never want for anything, and she has a team of personal assistants to call upon at any time. She lives in an entirely different world than you or I.

So any attempt to compare her to a regular working mom is completely insulting to mothers everywhere, in my opinion.
