Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi went for a walk around LA on Saturday before grabbing dinner at Madeos Sunday night. Portia showed the love for Ellen on her t-shirt and most of you all agree that they're your favorite newlyweds of 2008. While the year will end on a sad note for their marriage after the passing of Prop. 8, it's clear that Ellen and Portia don't need a legal document to keep appreciating each other and show that their relationship is still as strong as ever.

4i really love this couple, and i'm glad that they were able to get married at least - even if there's still that nonsense about prop 8. i hope that we're able to see that ruling over turned, but in the meantime i'll take pictures of this couple any day.

15Lisa: It should be a great shame to *Californians* that prop 8 passed, as they are the only Americans that were able to vote on it. What is a shame for ALL Americans is that all the propositions banning gay marriage this year (in CA, AZ, etc) ALL passed. Unfortunately, there are plenty of people who don't think it is a shame. Call me naive, but I was shocked by the outcomes at the polls this year. It was truly a disheartening year for gay rights. I hope that in the near future, our laws will not promote intolerance.
