Paris Hilton and her sister Nicky touched down in Melbourne on Monday after spending some time bundled up in Aspen with their family. The girls are in Australia to celebrate NYE together for the second year in a row with a big bash Paris is hosting in Sydney. This year, Nicky's got her man David Katzenberg by her side, while Paris is keeping company with her new sidekick Brittany Flickinger. The three girls spent yesterday shopping and hitting a spa before heading out to dinner, probably getting everything in order before their official duties commence tomorrow night.

I'm kind of surprised that the "new BFF" is actually spending time with her- I thought it was one of those Tila- esque shows where someone is chosen but there's no real relationship beyond the final elimination episode or whatever. I would have a hard time bringing a non- famous (but fame- hungry) chick into my inner circle if I were Paris. Not that she's necessarily looking for a deep and spiritual relationship herself, I know she loves publicity, but the bff is blatantly striking a cool pose for the paparazzi.
