Kanye West seemed to be in good spirits out in LA after a meal at yummy Houston's this week. It's been a rough year for Kanye and the paparazzi with two different incidents where it turned violent, but maybe he's turning over a new leaf for 2009. One thing we won't be doing is seeing Mr. West out partying anywhere tonight — according to his blog, he's staying in on New Year's Eve for the first time in five years to enjoy a little down time instead. Considering this hard worker says he never takes vacation, he must be pretty beat to take a break after a marathon 2008.

well you can't blame him for keeping things calm this year given that he's had a rough one with his mom and all that. i wonder what '09 will bring for him....

3Yes its awful what happened to his mom. He is full of hurt and anger and he takes it out on others, plus he is a jerk anyway. He sucks and so does his Michael Jackson jacket.
