Britney Spears kicked off '09 with a trip to Wal-Mart and some food to go with a friend in Mississippi on Thursday. She was back in the South with her whole family including her boys and Jamie Lynn and Maddie to celebrate her brother Bryan's New Year's Eve wedding to Jamie Lynn's manager. Lots of you would have liked to have spent NYE watching Britney on the dance floor, but time with family is a healthy start to her year — maybe 2009 will even bring Britney a new romance of her own.
I get this vibe from Britney that she's still not okay.

soul bypass, I honestly think she's less "okay" than she was at the beginning of 2008 when she shaved off all her hair. She is not having a "comeback"; her people are pushing a mediocre album that she doesn't seem to care one bit about on everyone. It's obvious by her appearance and the way she looks that she's sad.

I just watched the Britney Spears "Before the Record" on MTV, and to me she seems like she is doing okay, but only because her dad is so involved in her life. I just think it is sad that she
cannot manage her life by herself but she is so determined to break out of her "cage" as she referred to it several times. 
she looks good there it's nice that she was able to go and celebrate with her
brother. it's also an interesting relationship that it's with JL's manager - but i
guess they've got that all sorted out amongst themselves.

Actually Lukin, it was Feb. 2007 she shaved her head. Almost two years ago. She's been on this shaky ground for over two years now and I don't think she's okay yet. Might never be.
It was a year ago yesterday that she had the police standoff with JJ and ambulance ride to the hospital. Her father has been conservator for a year this month.

I think she looks really cute. I hope she gets better in 2009 because she still seems kinda out of it. It would be nice for her to find a cute, stable boyfriend too.

i think it's interesting how everyone in her family gets either involved romantically with business colleagues or mixes family and business incorrectly. brit + dancers, brit plus cousin ali, now manager of jamie lynn + bro..oy more disasters.
