The Palm Springs International Film Festival kicked off last night with their awards gala attended by some of the most acclaimed stars of the year. They screened Dustin Hoffman's new movie Last Chance Harvey and honored Hoffman, Sean Penn, and the cast of Revolutionary Road among others. Thankfully a sun-kissed from Cabo Leo made the trek to represent his movie. Dakota Fanning looked absolutely lovely and grown up in blue while Anne Hathaway traded in her dramatic hair and pantsuit for a LBD. As if LA isn't full of enough star power, it's only about to get brighter over the next few nights of award shows starting with last night's red carpet beauties.

not feeling that dress on dakota
1dakota looks really good there. i know that last week people on here were saying that she wasn't looking great cause of her outfit (i.e. rocker chick) but this blue dress is really pretty for her.
as for anne - well i'm surprised she made it to that event given that her movie is in full press mode - but that's great i guess.

9How gorgeous is Dakota? She's growing up too quickly-hope she stays kosher! Anne is cute, but tries too hard- she needs to give the 'bad-ass' up and then all will be good.
10Dakota looks great; grown up, but not TOO grown up (see, e.g., Hayden Panettiere). Hopefully we won't be seeing pics of Dakota in 4 years with too much makeup and too adult outfits next to a too old boyfriend.
