Michael Phelps showed off his still ripped body on the beach in Miami yesterday. He seemed to be having a blast running around with a football and trying out a few familiar poses in the sand. The fun of his amazing ride through 2008 hasn't worn off just yet and while his partying may have turned some fans off, he's set to get back in the pool sometime this month. Even if he's put on a pound or two in the midst of his post-Olympic celebrations, Michael's still got the muscles to make the ladies swoon.

it's so funny that lately he's been complaining that he's gotten 'fat' since the games since he doesn't work out nearly as much, but i think that he's still looking great. that's one of the good things about being so tall right?

21Ugh - I don't get the obsessions with him. He has a nice body (if you like the overbuilt, I spend more time working out than I do doing anything else look), but that's it.

he's not irrelevant, he's the world record holder in half a dozen events and will go to the next worlds and olympics as the best swimmer the usa has to offer.
he's not a gq model or a reality tv star; he actual made an effort for many years before he achieved fame. and if he's overbuilt it's because he does more than pose for a living.

24My boyfriend dated Michael's sister and said that the whole family looks like they were bred to swim: even the girls are built like upside- down triangles, big shoulders and rib cages and such. Just a fun fact.
