It was all about the ladies on the red carpet at last night's People's Choice Awards in LA. Queen Latifah sparkled in purple as the host of the show, yet again, while Debra Messing kept it a little more geometric. Paris Hilton was a nominee this time around for her first presidential video, though she lost in the online sensation category to Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog. Dakota Fanning stood out in her blue one shoulder dress, once again looking perfectly pretty and age appropriate among her older counterparts. She is quite the little lady these days. Some of the bigger names skipped the red carpet and still graced the stage to accept awards, more on that in a bit. Until then, check out the winners here and be sure to vote on all of Fab and Bella's love it or hate it polls to kick off the 2009 award season.

i actually like debra's dress and dakota's dress. she's really coming into her own this year. as for carrie - i feel like i've seen her in that dress before or at least something really similar.
1Carrie is definitely flashy.
2I'm really glad Dakota turned out to be adorable.
ues i thought the same thing ilanac- i think it was a floral bagley mishka maybe? she wore it last year somewhere though, whatever it was.
and i think Dakota looks cute and age-appropriate! i'm glad they don't overdo her make up either
3oops *yes i thought the same thing
4Dakota looked adorable yesterday!
I didn't like Debra's dress at all.
Is it me or does Latifah wear the same dress in different colors for every awrd show? IDK maybe its just me!
Teri Hatcher looks...scary in the pics.
Paris looks cute.
5Glad to see David Boreanaz. Classic and cute
6I don't like Debra's dress.
My favorite is that strange dress that is wearing the girl in the pictures after Queen Latifah.
Dakota is becoming such beautiful young woman.
As for Carrie, she looks beautiful but we have seen this before. Girlfriend needs to mix it up a little! True, a 'pretty' floral dress with long blonde, curly extensions looks nice, but ::yawn::
I just wish she would take more risks. She always looks the same!
7Dakota was looking pretty awkward for a bit there, glad to see she is adjusting. Could you imagine doing junior high on camera!!! I would have DIED
Paris sucks, Jessica Stroup is way too skinny, Debra looks cute, Carrie looks boring and yes, Morgs,
we have seen her do this. Queen Latifah is a little to HUZZAH! For me.
8Debra looks fantastic but that dress is not flattering at all.
9I don't even recognize Dakota Fanning! holy cow when did she grow up??
you could grate cheese on Debra Messing's chest.
10Sorry but thats just gross
you could grate cheese on Debra Messing's chest.
11Sorry but thats just gross
Rachel Zoe did not do a very good job with Debra....she isnt VB!
12Marisa Tomei was my favorite. I loved Kate Hudson's shoes. Thought a few of the women looked too skinny: Teri Hatcher (creepy looking!), AnnaLynne (ugliest shoes), Jessica Stroup and Debra Messing. Thinks Carrie Underwood has incredible legs but could do a better job decorating her body. Love that Jennie Garth is back and looking beautiful. Thought Lori Loughlin was very age appropriate, elegant and sexy. Disappointed that Paula Marshall is so beautiful, yet fashion challenged. Thinks Jennifer Morrison is stunning. Can't get excited about Olivia Wilde, yet I think that I should. Glad that the event was a leg show, yet wondered where the cleavage went.
13Go home Paris, no "people" chose you for anything
14OH Debra no! Too skinny!
15Dakota looks really good
16As do Queen, Paris (gasp!)and Jessica Stroup.
I don't like Carrie or Debra's dresses. And Debra's chest/arm area is way too skinny.
I love Debra's dress...it looks fierce. Jessica Stroup and Dakota Fanning also look lovely.
17Luv Dakota
18WHY was Paris at the People's Choice Awards?!?! Ew!!! She doesn't really even do anything, and I cannot imagine any rational, sane person nominating her for anything.
19Jessica Stroup and Olivia Wilde are beautiful.
20I don't like Dakota's dress.
Everytime I see Dakota I'm in shock. She's turned into such a beautiful, well rounded young lady with loads of potential for a long lasting career. I think her Parents have truely done a great job in raising her. She is very mature for her age and it's really nice to see her dressing age appropriate. I can't wait to see more of her in the coming years...she's going to be a stunning woman.
