Angie did look kind of... I don't know how to describe it other then evil.
1Angelina, needs to get over herself. Anne has talent and is a lovely person and deserves the award.
2Yeah she needs to get over herself big time. Go Anne!
3Wow, I don't think I want to her win the Oscar if it means I have to listen to that kind of speech again.
4OK that so was NOT a "death stare." I've seen death stares and that sure wasn't it. I'm guessing that's just her default face or maybe she wasn't in such a great mood. She probably just wanted to be home hangin with Z (since it was her birthday).
5But congrats to little Annie. I haven't seen Rachel Getting Married yet but I will soon enough.
6Anne was in Angelina's documentary and she talked about how Angelina advised her to take more risks in her movie rolls, so I don't think it was anything negative. I don't know about the media nowadays, people need to lay off Angelina, it's getting old. Didn't her mom die this time last year???
7haha Angelina didnt mask her disappointment. Hathaway does not impress me at all tho and offscreen she is sooo annoying matching her annoying speech. Reminds me of Faith Hill's unbelief that Carrie Underwood won. Meryl Streep is just amazing. Cant wait for her performance as Julia Child.
8Angie's mom died on the 27th of this month.
9I really don't think that Angie was giving Anne a "death stare" at all!
10Oh dear. I do love the way the Sugar network presents itself as the wholesome, friendly, empowering choice for celeb-gossip fans everywhere, but then uses "Link Time" to direct us to the kind of low-brow, nasty, downright offensive trash that gives the internet a bad name.
"This is Claudia Schiffer Today", to my mind, shows some photos of Claudia Schiffer looking like the elegant, classy woman that I think she is, and yet Hollywood Rag captions the photos with "Wayne and Garth would be disappointed". That a) is not true, she looks freaking awesome, and b) it's not funny. It's also not clever, it's not well-written, it's just rude for the sake of being rude and buys into the whole "women are not allowed to age" myth, and I thought Popsugar was better than that. You don't get away pretending to be better than that if you're going to link to stuff like this.
Likewise Hollywood Tuna's opinion on Elisha Cuthbert in what i think is a gorgeous, classy dress. The writer thinks she should be locked up in his mother's basement for leaving the house and not looking sezy. Nice way to talk about women. And we also have a link to a site which may show us, if we squint real hard and strain to see it, Kelly Brooks nipples. Terrific. I was just wondering how I'd make it through today if I didn't see a faint outline of somebody's nipples. For a thirty something woman who runs her own business I'm remarkably like a thirteen year old boy in that one small respect.
And I don't think I've ever read anything more pointless than D-Listed's musings on the possible proportions of some guys penis. Lovely, just lovely.
I've had this little rant about "link time" before, but every now and then, as a woman, I'm so insulted by the content of this section that I can't help but rant again, even if I'm repeating myself, and even if nobody is paying the slightest bit of attention to me. It's just so not in keeping with what I perceive to be the ethos of the Sugar network.
You let yourselves down badly with this junk, you really do.
11I don't think that was a death stare at all, that's the way she always looks, she was just sitting still and watching, that is all. Not sure why the camera had to keep panning to her either, i hate when they do that. Catch the "losers" response, kind of not nice!
12Okay, I thought so.
13Firstly I think that wasn't a death stare but it was definately evil. Secondly, Anne deserved the award and may it be the first of many, she is one of my favourite actresses and I cannot wait to see Bride Wars and Rachel Getting Married. Thirdly, Angelina has got to get over herself. How smug did she look when the nominees had been read? Like it was in the bag already. Well she needs to get off her high perch because although she is a brilliant versatile actress, she doesn't half have a bad attitude when she loses. Get used to it Ange, Anne is going to win on Sunday. Golden Globes website already said so!
Go Anne!
14Why is Kelly Brook on Link Time? She's a ...what exactly does she do? A bad actress, a model or just there... I don't know. All I know is that she's everywhere.
15I don't really see that as a death stare, it looked more like her mind was somewhere else. Anne's speech was a little crazy, i didn't even watch it all.
16Not a death stare. She looks... like she's trying to contain her amusement about something -- maybe Anne's speech? maybe she even found it funny that anyone could NOT pick her for best actress, but even still, it didn't look like she wanted to claw Anne's eyes out.
17Kiki Tee, I agree with you 100%!!!!
18That look was a little catty. Sweet Anne, I liked her speech, even though it was jumbled, it was so heartfelt. I like the comparison of Ang's look to say, Kate Beckinsale, who looked genuinely happy for Anne.
That Claudia Schiffer thing was just ludicrous. She is one of the most beautiful women in the world (still) and looked hot in those pics. I bet Wayne and Garth don't look half as sexy as she does at 38.
19angie always looks like that
20i doubt she felt anything negative towards anne
im soooo happy that anne one though!!!
I don't think that was a 'death stare'.
Anne's speech was a little long, but bless her heart. She was so excited.
21I loved Anne's speech, it was heartfelt and it's her first time winning a big award like this so it meant a lot for her, it reminded me of Halle Berry's speech-I think those are the best speeches: when you are so filled with emotion and happiness and just all over the place!
Anne deserved the award.
22I actually didn't think that looked like a death stare at all! She looked a little amused at Anne's speech more than anything, maybe because she was so nervous and excited. I can't blame her if she was pissed, though -- she spoke in several interviews about how much "Changeling" meant to her (because of the mother/son relationship), and I think she still harbors an awards grudge that she didn't get more attention for "A Mighty Heart."
23You call that death stare? Huh... so didn't see it like that!
24congrats, anne! though not polished, the speech was adorable and i believed her. sounds semi-unrehearsed, like she couldn't quite believe it, and she stumbled a LOT in the beginning. trying to be gracious and include everyone in her praise. she's way too nice LOL
angie DID look kinda smug at the beginning of the video, and looked like a contained evil to me. ha oh well, i'm sure it's hard losing to a young actress like anne.
25i watched it again
and couldn't help but notice anne's adorable hopefulness at the
very beginning. she looks so bright eyed and bushy-tailed!
hehehehe
26How was that anywhere near a death stare? What an idiotic headline.
27I'm with you Kiki tee!!!!
28And that was NOT a death stare.
29Kiki - you go girl!
I totally agree, I avoid these links like the plague, they're usually
nothing but trash.
30she was probably pissed because she realized with all that stupid pr she put out there and her golden king and queen relationship, that still didn't influence anyone to take a win
315thing Kiki Tee's sentiment!
32I can't really guess by Angie's look but she sorta look pissed, tired and trying hard to smile but on the inside, she want to chop Anne's head off or something.
On the other hand, I toooooooootally agree with KIKI TEES but I barely like any stupid quotes and topics from popsugar anyways.. I just read her post to know what's going on with celebs but I'm so over it. pinkisthenewblog rocks!
33I love Anne...what a great and heartfelt speech.
34That was no "death stare"...
My niece really enjoys the Kung Fu Panda Wii game - she loves playing as Tigress!
35lol pink! hahaheh
People get so wound up and defensive omd !
36that looked more like a "you're rambling like an idiot" stare to me.
37"OK that so was NOT a "death stare." I've seen death stares and that sure wasn't it."
I agree completely. And Angelina already has an Oscar, I doubt she really cares about awards at this point anyway. After you get a few awards, they become a bit mundane (or so I've heard)
And Kiki...I do agree a lot with what you have said. So much of the unrealistic expectations of women in regards to our bodies, how we age, our sexuality are greatly purpetuated by women themselves. Pretty sad.
38Nah, I dont think it was a death stare either. That just looked like a typical bored Angelina Jolie expression. It amazes me how she can look so amazingly beautiful sometimes and other times she looks downright mean.
39A death stare? its a total hallucination.
40Have you seen Kate Bekinsale face? She looks angry.
Angelina for me was looking tired, but im sure she is happy for Anne, there was NO sign of a death stare at all, come on, this is a big joke to read the titles sometimes...
It wasn't a death stare, it wasn't evil.
Angelina could care less about winning awards. She has
more than her share. Angelina was listening intently and maybe Anne mentioning something similar Angelina said in her own acceptance about her mother caught Angelina's attention. Angie is
very sensitive about her mom. Either way Angie isn't so shallow as to be upset over losing an award. Gimme a break.
41Anne did go on and on but she was excited and probably didn't expect to win or even better, tie with Meryl (serious honor)...Morticia is just a cold fish so, yay, we caught it on tv
42Courtney Love: that cover is SO horrible! She looks high. It is like a paparazzi picture. When I look at this picture I can imagine a cigarette in her left hand.
43Claudia S. is beautiful, but those glasses are ugly. No one can look so good with those glasses. Her nose is so beautiful.
Go Kiki!
44Please... That was not a death stare. She just looked a little taken aback when the camera suddenly went to her. She probably reacted to seeing her face on the screen or something. Death stare...
45Why do people have to create drama. She looked completely normal and if anything it looked like she was tearing up or something. I watched the video and kept waiting for the death stare. This is seriously silly people.
46Anne's speech was super annoying though.....sure it could lead to an oscar, but please.....I did not think the reward went to the right person.
47Oooo that was def a very smug look of contempt comin from Angie!
Dayyummm...
48Angelina looks "pissed" because she's looking sideways...she looks disappointed, and probably a little haughty, but I don't think she was angry she didn't win.
Kiki - I happen to like DListed, because it's one of those sites who doesn't bow down to celebrities and kiss their a**es. I like Popsugar because it's neutral, doesn't bash celebrities, and overall a very nice blog. I don't follow half the sites in these links, but that's because I find them dull and uninteresting.
49I saw it as an "Oh brother" and "I'm freaking bored out of my wits" stare. Far from evil. And poor Anne, she seemed so incredibly nervous. That would be me on stage.
