Renée Zellweger looked flirty and feminine posing for the February cover of Marie Claire, a big difference from the Golden Globes look that landed her on our worst dressed list. Besides showing her face on the red carpets during award season, she's busy promoting her movie, New in Town. After a few failed relationships, including her marriage to Kenny Chesney, Renee opens up to the magazine about her current love life and why she doesn't consider herself single. Here are some highlights:
- On marriage: "I never say never about anything, because I look back on my own personal history and it shocks me. If I would ever have said, 'Oh for sure this is going to be in my future,' most of my experiences would not have been on my list. So I don't even bother thinking about it, because I've learned that there's no anticipating that stuff."
- On her love life: "The thing is, I'm away all the time. I suppose if I sat still long enough to get to know somebody beyond a dinner date, maybe. But I don't feel like my life is empty or that I have to make something happen. I have projects to develop. I want to study American history and political science, live in an apartment in France, and fix my bad French. And is there really time for all of it? Last summer, when I said it wasn't the right time for something I wanted to do, a friend asked, 'How long are you going to live?' I'm not single, I'm busy. That's my line."
Renee seems happy without a man in her life as she concentrates on checking things off her to-do list and enjoying her independence. To read the full story and see more photos pick up the new issue of Marie Claire on newsstands.

She is so photoshopped she's nearly unrecognisable, and she IS photoshopped to the point of looking like someone else in that second shot. Geez Louise, I'm a digital artist and graphic designer, and I understand that you pretty much always photoshop the images for the sake of the glossy magazine look, but you're supposed to do it in such a way that it still looks like the person! Yikes.
1hmmm she looks better than the golden globs
2My thoughts exactly. Photoshopped to death. She looks cute though...
3Looks more like Christina Applegate than Renee Zellweger in that second pic...
4Seems like she's still smarting from her annulled marriage 4 years ago. I used to really like her but she has changed so much over the last few years it's like she doesn't want anyone to know who she really is.
5I thought she looked okay at the Golden Globes, unlike what the critics thought. Marisa Tomei was dressed far, far worse.
6gotta say, photoshopped or not, this is the best she's looked in a long time...she usually has such unnatural facial expressions.....
7i wish that i liked her more but i just don't. i like the looks in her pictures in the mag MUCH better than that 'dress' that she was wearing at the GG. i guess we should all root for something good for her given that she's had a string of less than great movies...so here's to good fortune!
8She looks adorable.
9I like Renee, esp in Bridget Jones and Down With Love. Her face is a little strange but she seems very grounded and has a good worth ethic. I read one of her interviews and was really impressed how seriously she takes her job and the way she lives her life.
10wow she`s going to be 40 this year... i though she was younger...
11Oh thank God she is going to be 40.. I thought she was younger and was amazed at the wrinkles in Leatherheads. It makes WAY more sense now. Now I can say way to age gracefully vs what the hell happened to her.
12I love Renee's independant streak! She really is her own person! I personally feel that the weight gain and sudden weight loss have not done her body much good.
13She was never the same after the Bridget Jones Films.
I give her credit for looking natural though, as that seems rare these days in Hollywood
Renee does look great in these pictures, although I guess that can be attributed to Photoshop. I really like that she lives her life as an independent woman and doesn't care what other people think.
