Isla Fisher shows some skin in the new issue of GQ as she continues to promote Confessions of a Shopaholic. The actress has already revealed that she plans on marrying Sacha Baron Cohen soon and now she opens up about working on a new script. She feels there is a lack of strong, funny, female movies and is writing a film called Groupies with Amy Poehler to help her cause. Here's more:
- On the movie she's working on with Amy: "It’s about classic, overconfident dum-dums lusting after a band. There’s a restraining order against them, but they’re in total denial."
- On her fiancé Sacha: "He’s always funnier than me."
- On the rumors she was having difficulty converting to Judaism: "The entire story is ridiculous. I converted three years ago. [When the reporter revealed his partner was Jewish but he hadn't converted] I’m willing to do a circumcision here. Get me a sharp knife and some ice and you won’t even feel it. "
Isla may be humble about her comedic talent, but with her new movie and upcoming projects, it sounds like she'll be getting just as many laughs as Sacha in no time.

7Isla is either lying or had a liberal secular conversion which only takes a few months. Isla was reportedly converting to Orthodox Judaism which takes at least 2-3 years to complete. The individual then has to have a bar/bat mitzvah among other rituals.
Orthodox Judaism also forbids conversion for the reason of marriage. You either have to have Jewish heritage or feel like you have a Jewish soul to convert. Isla is obviously doing it only to marry Sacha. She admitted it two years ago in an interview with the "Daily Mail."
Another thing is that Sacha is a "Cohen" which means that he's forbidden to marry a convert in Orthodox Judaism. According to Jewish law a Cohen must marry a person born Jewish to have a real Jewish wedding.
It's really impossible to fully convert to Judaism because it's not just a religion it's also an ethnicity and growing up part of a culture. Isla didn't experience that and will never know how it is to be an actual Jew. Isla is fraud. She's not Jewish! She might be able to fool people who are ignorant about Judaism but she can't fool the rest of us.

13No offense Teenamarie but I doubt anyones cares about Isla's religion. They are a beautiful family and that's all that matters - marriage is a piece of paper, love is what makes a family.
Aren't there more important things to get worked up about?
14Teena Marie--Without a doubt, it was not an Orthodox coversion. No Orthodox rabbi would convert her in opposition to the Jewish law that prohibits a Cohen from marrying a convert. Her conversion, which she's been messing around with for years, was probably Reform, possibily Conservative. However, Jewish law also says that a convert is legally as Jewish as any born Jew and that you are not allowed to question a convert about their non-Jewish past. Ask your rabbi.
