Do the stars accept awards for the art direction and editing and stuff like that, or just performances. They have nothing to do with alot of these things, doesn't seem right if they get the glory for it. In fact, alot of artists admit they have very little to do with the video process.

I only watched about an hour of the 'show.' AAR should definately NOT sing live, Beyonce should even try to lipsync-- since it's so unreal. And when AAR won and said something about "I'm going to get so trashed tonight" it looked like he was already there. I think that's SO trashy. Isn't that what AFTER parties are for?

I don't think this was the best VMA's. Christina's performance [although I love her and her album is my favorite this year] made me yawn. Her song was good. He singing was good but the VMA's is about partying... everyone's hyped up! She should have picked a more upbeat song.

And Jack Black... LOL He's usually very funny but his lines and skits were pretty lame.
