President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama went from one ball to the next last night stopping by ten events over the course of their evening. The first stop was at the first ever Neighborhood Ball where there were star-studded performances from Jay-Z to Alicia Keys to Stevie Wonder, but Beyonce belting out "At Last" for the Obama's first dance was particularly touching — you seem to agree. Michelle looked stunning in her Jason Wu gown and the couple couldn't wipe the smiles off their faces all night long. Check out Citizen for all the inauguration coverage. Kanye performed at MTV's "Be the Change" Ball where Demi and Ashton partied while waiting for an appearance from the first couple themselves. Anne Hathaway dazzled in red at the Creative Coalition Ball, so it seems her babysitting skills weren't needed for the night. From start to finish it was a pretty incredible day and celebration as we welcomed a new president, a new first family, and a hope for change.
To see more from the balls including Josh Lucas, Kim Raver, Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins, Demi Moore, Tobey Maguire and many others just read more.

Michelle looked STUNNING! What an amazing day it was yesterday.
1Michelle looked stunning all day. I don't know how they held up till so late. All these celebrities in town, and the only one I see was Sharon Stone- blahhh!!!
2i must be one of the few that didn't LOVE the gown that she was wearing. i like the gown, don't get me wrong, but i think that michelle has a better figure than the dress let us see, and that's a shame.
3aww they look lovely, congrats America, he seems like a really, brave, strong and good man to have as president, i hope we are as lucky in England next time around, which wont be hard seeing as our government are as crap as they come...
4Michelle looked stunning all day.
5ilanac - I didn't like the gown either. It isn't bad, but she could have done much better. Plus it constantly got in the way of the Obamas dancing. I still can't decide if they are bad dancers or if it was just dress issues.
6..So did her two daughters, elegantly dressed in J.Crew.
7Also I'll be glad to tell my grand children one day that I was there to see an Afro-American men becoming the new President of the U.S.A.
Yesterday was a great day.
It must being an amazing day.
8Beyonce looked beautiful.
I don't like one bit Michelle Obama's dress, but she looked happy and that's what matters
I would have liked the gown more if it was just plain white. No beads and embellishment.
On a different note, she and Barack don't seem to be very coordinated dancers. I would have been up there spinning and dipping. All they did was sway woodenly. Come on guys, it's not a funeral!
9Aww, it wasn't that bad. They had a long day
10Love President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle. Yesterday was a wonderful, exciting day, a day to bring unity to the country and not division, it was beautiful, never seen anything like it. I thought the song Beyonce sang was beautiful, I loved it. He loves his wife so much!

12I don't care how he dances, I want him to do a good job. He's become something of a celebrity figure, and he has a lot of work to do. I have very high hopes for him.
13I thought they looked absolutely gorgeous together. I thought the choice of white made them both look very classy. Even my boyfriend couldn't stop commenting on how beautiful Michelle looked, her skin was glowing!
As for the dancing, the dress had bit of a train in the back which doesn't work so well for spinning. I bet they were pretty dang tired as well! They looked very much in love, though.
14A friend of mine met her on Monday and she is even more beautiful in person- totally glowing.
15Great day and I loved all of Michelle's outfits!!! I thought Mrs. Biden looked spectacular too in red. Beyonce was so cute and moved after singing for them, but her dress choice was poor. The front of her dress was see through, you could see her....
16now we can put Beyonce back in her box until next time
17I loved Michelle's inauguration dress but I did not like the ballgown on her either. It wasn't so much the gown as that it did absolutely nothing for her. It looked so unshapely on her. I agree with those who said she could have done better.
18Once again stars are making it about them instead of a the new president. im so sick that these parasites were there all performing when half of our veterans couldnt even get into these parties. They are the real heros and instead beyonce and demi moore were there. what a horrific joke...
19pebbles, i agree with you completely.
20Ah Pebbles, the veterns actually could have gotten into the parties, the neighborhood ball was for everyone including you. Stop the controversy, it's a new day now. Love, peace, unity!!!

22YOU said it, pebbles.
23I think they are making a complete mockery of the governemtn and politics. Personally I dont take any of it as seriously any mroe because they have 'hollywood'-ized it so much. I think that was a huge mistake. It's an inaugeration people, not the MTV music awards or the Golden Globes. Celebs should try not being total celebs that day, and be a normal person like the rest of us and concerned only with the GOVERMENT that day
on a side note, I have high hopes for Obama as well and have no doubt he is a welcome change and going to be great
24The entire Obama family were glowing yesterday. Such a beautiful day for our country.
25Yesterday was a beautiful day. I loved their first dance together and President and First Lady
26Beyonce looked so amazed to be singing for them, I loved watching her sing-overwhelmed with emotion
No law saying Kid Rock shouldn't be there, but I thought he had been a McCain/Palin supporter. I thought I saw him and Hank Jr performing at some McP event during the campaign.
27I just love how President Obama looks at Michelle. It's so sexy and you just see he has a genuine love for his wife. He is so nerdy-cool when he's dancing. He started doing that old dance "the bump" with someone but i don't remember who. i really enjoy this family. You can't help but smile when they do.
28Wasn't the Neighborhood Ball just one of ten? So what if some celebrities wanted to come out for it? There were nine other balls that the President and his wife attended. This one is getting more coverage here because after all, this is a site about celebrities.
29Well, I take back some of my previous comment... Apparently this wasn't the only star studded ball. Hmm...
30Michelle looked amazing in her white gown. I actually loved it! Barack was handsome in his bow tie and though the dance wasn't spectacular I couldn't take my eyes of them. For once Beyonce singing didn't annoy me and I thought she did a wonderful job. The girls looked absolutley adorable and they were were so cute during the inauguration. I don't have words to describe how happy I am that Barack is my president....Ahhh
31That was such a wonderful day...I'm ecstatic that Obama is our new President. He and Michelle seem to love each other so much, and I thought their dance was great. I liked her white gown a lot too and Barack was sexy as always. Sasha & Malia were adorable in their J. Crew outfits.
