Sarah Jessica Parker piled on the layers and left only a little bit of James Wilkie visible walking in NYC today. In the heart of Winter, Carrie Bradshaw might be wearing something a little more flashy and we may be getting another taste of that fashion soon. There's been talk of a Sex and the City movie sequel since the first one came out, with Kim Cattrall going as far as confirming the news, and apparently they're inching toward a real deal. The latest is that the ladies have all agreed to star in a new film, although contracts haven't been signed yet. We'll wait to hear the official announcement before we toast our cosmos but it could be exciting to see the four women — and their men — back on the big screen.

I absolutely love Sex and the City. However, I think it's time to let the characters go. I really enjoyed the Sex and the City movie but I don't think it was as high quality or had the heart of the TV series. I can't imagine what they will do with another movie. Please, no!
1They seriously need to stop. Now, I actually feel like they're dragging it on just to squeeze as much money out of the series as they can. Before, it was actually about the characters and the story. This is just getting downright insulting. Stop the madness!
2Couldn't agree more with the other posters. And I'm more than a little surprised that the actresses want to pursue another movie. What happened to the days when SJP said the show was coming to a close to maintain the integrity of the characters?
3I love SATC. I do. But the movie was the end for me. The only reason they are bringing it back up is to milk the cash cow a little more. I will be really disappointed if there is another SATC movie.
4this is good news as far as i'm concerned. knowing that there's a very likely chance for the sequel - well that makes me happy!
5I loved the movie, but what is there possibly left to do with the characters? Carrie does not seem like the motherly type, so if her and Big are expecting, it won't be true to the original storyline. Samantha never stays with anyone for long, so her getting married would be another odd plot twist. I just hope they don't fluff it up just to make a movie.
6I cannot believe they are making another movie. I was pleasantly surprised by this summer's movie, because I LOVED the way the series ended, and I still think it is a better ending (even though it is obviously not the whole ending).
