Gwen was totally lip singing...i was shocked! unless they were just off in the timing of the live broadcast, but no i don't think that's the case.
But that Jordin seems sweet and she's not a bad singer...but she's a lot like every other girl singer out there. I wish they would go for something new. That's why I like "Rockstar" I wonder if they have a new season of that coming up?

I think it only gives you the message if you are watching it as it is playing live (even if you're behind), but if you're not watching the TV at all when it is airing -- no luck. At least that is my understanding. And, enough about TiVo.

Sorry, not to rub it in for those with annoying recording devices, but I thought it was particularly hilarious right after Jordin won when they cut to those girls holding a sign that said, "We Love You Jordan!!!" So close. So very close to getting her name right.

I am constantly annoyed with my dvr. I don't know how many times it cuts of the previews for "next week's show" for whatever show I am watching at the time. Sorry it messed up you American Idol taping, that stinks!

This season was boring and the most boring girl won. I don't even care anymore.

Honestly that's why I wanted blake to win because she is so boring but she's perfect for the competition she's sweet and very marketable blake had a diff direction goin in his taste of music. I hope she doesn't do fighter again because I wasn't approving that one but when she sang the idol song she owned it wheras blake choked on that song but that's not his style that's like askin janet jackson to sing mariah carey hero it just won't sound right lol. They both are gonna be set and successfull. I also think that Melinda will have a very successful gospel career. When she was singing with BeBe and CeCe she seemed very into it it seemed like her thing. She sang backup for them. Now I noticed this they had all the winners on there but where was fantasia??? I'm not a big fantasia fan but she won season 3 and she deserves to be on there. Did anyone else notice that???

Fantasia was performing in The Color Purple on Broadway. She could have asked for the night off but audience isn't paying all that money to see an understudy.

I actually thought Blake would win. I liked his little beat-boxing duo last night. Pretty cool. But, Jordin won and that's ok too.

i resent two things about the Idol finale: one, as funny as the auditions were this year, i disagree with the "golden idol" awards which only served to further mock those who didn't make the cut, and not in a "fun" way. second, why did AI spend two hours on silly performances and filler and the ROLL THE CREDITS OVER THE WINNER'S PERFORMANCE????? shouldn't jordin have had a word-free screen, at least?

Obviously the people being mocked didn't mind! It's extra fame for them, so why would they care?

Um, I thought Carrie Underwoods little "acceptance speech" was a little strange. It was almost like she was on autopilot, and I don't think she was meant to give an acceptance speech...she was just supposed be all thankful and then get her twigbutt off the stage. If she hadn't been so plastic and given the acceptance speech, your tivo wouldn't have screwed you over.

i think carrie did a wonderful job at singing everything she sang last night and every time she sings, everybody looked like they were lip synching other than carrie, jordin on her last song, all the other contestants including haley looked like they were way off.

I agree with you, t_hive. I prefer Blake's style of music (and I haven't cast a vote since Elliott's season last year), but I also love a lot of singers in her genre, and for some reason I just don't see what's so "marketable" about her. If 19 gives her a CD chock-full of ballads and Mariah-type songs, it'll tank. Unless she gets a deal singing with Disney or something, I doubt she'll be that successfull--unless people who voted for her buy her CD in droves.

In all honesty I too thought AI was rigged, especially when Sanjaya lasted as long as he did. I wasn't pleased with this year's competitors either. Don't get me wrong. Blake is very talented and I'm sure he'll sell way more CD's then the others. He's got that entertaining factor that none of the others had. But when it came down to the final two, I thought Jordin was vocally more talented than Blake.

The same thing happened to me - well, my mom. I had set the DVR for her to record an extra 10 minutes at the end just in case. Then my brother came home from college and set another show to record. Anyways, it cut off the end, then she changed the channel so she couldn't even rewind. OH it was awful - frantically searching the internet and news for info.
Anyways, mom wanted Blake to win - and while Jordin can sing she always looks so miserable and sad on stage. Ah well.
