Dakota Fanning laughed her way through security yesterday at LAX. She was en route to NYC, where she got dressed up to visit Good Morning America with her Coraline costar Teri Hatcher earlier today. Dakota has been in the news recently because of what might be her next big role — she said it's "definitely a possibility" that she could star in the highly anticipated sequel to Twilight. For now Dakota's got her hands full promoting her current movies, but she seems excited about the prospect of appearing in a film with heartthrob Robert Pattinson.

9well i think that she would be a much better choice than vanessa - that's just me. i'm just kind of surprised that they haven't firmed up casting for the film since they want it to be in theaters in november.

13Dakota isn't up for the same part as Vanessa. Vanessa is going for a native american/wolf part and Dakota is going for one of the vampire parts . I don't think either of them is right for the parts they are vying for on New Moon. Dakota is just too young and doesn't have the foundation for the character at all. Vanessa is just not right at all. It's like affirmative action for the movies. I really do think sticking to a relatively unknown cast is in their best interests. I say this objectively, as I'm not a teenaged obsessed fan (no negative connotation there), just one who simply enjoyed the series.
