The Grammys may seem like one of the longest shows of Award Season, but last night they mixed it up with some exciting performances. The show kicked off with U2 starring Bono, but the absence of Chris Brown and Rihanna was quickly felt. Justin Timberlake, Al Green, Keith Urban and Boyz II Men all stepped in to form a hodge podge second performance of the night while the young couple dealt with assault allegations and drama. Total highlights included Jay-Z on stage with Chris Martin and the "Swagger Like Us" performance with incredibly pregnant MIA. They looked like they were having so much fun. While Robert Plant and Alison Krauss took home some of the biggest awards John Mayer and Coldplay took home statues too — check out all the winners here.
Gwyneth looked hot introducing Radiohead while Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus sweetly collaborated to sing Swift's new single. Kanye and Estelle sounded fabulous before similarly named Adele won Best New Artist. Jennifer Hudson left the room choked up during her acceptance speech and strong performance. Keith Urban looked handsome on stage a few times — including the performance with John Mayer, BB King and Buddy Guy as a tribute to Bo Diddley — in between moments beside Nicole Kidman in their seats. The Jonas Brothers took the stage with Stevie Wonder just one of the pairings that kept this year's Grammys interesting.
To see more from the show including the Blink 182 reunion, Kate Beckinsale, Paul McCartney, Duffy, Dwayne Johnson, Estelle, Kanye West and others just read more.

the performances is def the reason that i tune into the show and it didn't disappoint for the most part. i loved seeing most of the mixes, and MIA was def the best..(featuring jay-z)
1That was definitely an interesting show last night with some CRAZY collaborations. That actually worked! I love all things Motown and soul, so I was quite happy with the Al Green collabo and the Duke Fakir, Jamie Foxx, Smokey Robinson, Ne-Yo collabo. Fabulous!
2Loved MIA and congrats to John Mayer. I didn't watch last night. I was to busy watching Big Love and babysitting. So was Aniston there at all?
3This was an amazing show, I thought. And for real, the collaborations were genious!
4Congrats to John Mayer! Loved his performance with BB, Buddy and Keith.
5Loved the Jamie Foxx and Co. performance. I also thought Coldplay was amazing. Gwyneth looked gorgeous as usual. Nicole Kidman looks like a ugly wax figure. She has really ruined her looks.
6fleurfairy, looking at Nicole Kidman depresses me. She used to be unbelievably gorgeous; I can't help but feel that she would still be stunning if she had allowed herself to age naturally. I didn't watch much of the Grammys, but what I did see (Coldplay and the song with Keith Urban and John Mayer) was pretty good. Gwyneth looks gorgeous.
7I thought Katie Perry was horrible. It seemed like a performance at a high school talent show. She didn't sing well and looked uncomfortable on stage. I had never seen her perform before and my expectations weren't too high...but they were higher than that!
So sad about Rhianna and Chris. Yikes.
8Best Grammy show ever! I muted Katy Perry and Sugarland... otherwise, it was deeply moving.
Justin...
9I was so glad to see Travis!! Get well Boo!
10Jonas Bros should not have been performing w/Stevie Wonder that was so wack.
11Yah MIA was hilarious! That outfit was a riot!
12Jennifer Hudson was so gracious and beautiful. Radiohead rocked it of course!
Adele - SO glad she won Best New Artist, album is amazing!
I'm kinda upset they didn't air the Grammys in the UK this year, because they did last year! Gwyneth looks gorgeous and congrats to all the winners!
13Yay Mia and Adele.
14Was it just me or did it seem that Estelle forgot the lyrics?? Kanye West even looked like he was intently looking at her mouthing the words.
15amofoz-I assumed that Estelle and Kanye did the performance last minute due to Chris Brown and Rihanna dropping out, thus taking their spot..I may be wrong, because their performance was low-key and seemed to be done last minute..don't know!
My gosh, Jen Hudson's performance made me tear up-it was so powerful and emotional, she's such a strong woman, bless her.
And I did love MIA, she's a crazy girl for performing when it was her due date, and she was full of energy..I was a little worried for her! But loved her with Jay-Z and the rest of them.
I have a new found crush on Chris Martin
16loveleo, i thought the same thing with stevie wonder and the jonas brothers. that he was made to actually sing one of their songs made me feel slightly embarassed, lol. i also thought the performances were awesome!! my fave had to be justin and t.i., radiohead(that marching band was amazing!!) and coldplay with jay-z.
17also, it kind of seemed like a 3 1/2 hour concert, there were only like 5 or 6 awards given out. either way it was great!!
18My mistake! The Grammys are on British TV tonight in just under an hour! Can't wait
19I only saw a couple of the performances online, but from what I saw: M.I.A. is seriously the coolest mom to be ever; Jennifer Hudson is unbelievably talented, I´m amazed she didn´t break down and cry in the middle of the song; and last but not least, why on earth is Miley Cyrus famous again? Did any of you see her "singing" with Taylor Swift? She is ridiculously famous for not having on ounce of talent in her bones...
20I saw the performance jenniferg and my best friend and I could not stop cracking up at how bad she was! She was doing these weird hand gestures and was terrible while Taylor was much better and she pretty much carried her throughout the song!
21watching MIA made me ill
22It was a good show overall. I liked most of the performances. Radiohead were by far the best performers of the evening.
