I don't see what's wrong with using step daughter. Its not a bad word. Her biological father is still alive, not sure how much he has to do in her life but still he is her legitimate father
and has that title in that right. Its obvious that Seal is not her true biological father (even though he does the best job of parenting her between the two) however the term stepfather just
differentiates to say that she is not of his being. I didn't realise that the "step" term is now seen as offensive these days. Geez
bearsy, i agree. since when is being just someone's step-father (which is exactly what he is to her) considered a bad thing? the label doesn't define or limit the relationship.

Um, Pop, she's his daughter. He's the only father she's known. The "step" can be left out completely.
