… they were fighting in the car, thats where all the bruises and bite marks came from, Chris pulls it over to have her exit, she throws the car keys out, he’s pissed comes back and chokes her leaves on foot. Car is towed & impounded rihanna is taken to hospital.

I don't condone either of their apparent behaviors honestly. It seems to me they got into a fight about him cheating on her and things turned violent (the both of them turned violent) and ended in this scenario.

meh there are too many stories that make little sense, all we know is that he hit her, turned himself in and paid his bail. Now until they themselves actually talk about it noone knows for sure what happened, this is all speculation now.

I don't condone domestic violence in anyway...but I think it is so unfair to pass judgement on this young man when all we have is speculation. I think if it were as cut and dry as TMZ and these other sites try to make it...there wouldn't be a need for further investigation...I wish him and Rihanna the best...and I hope she does whats best for her...

It's really starting to look bad for Chris, but I wouldn't be surprised if at the end of the day it turned out to be that both Chris and Rihanna were being physically abusive towards one another.

It's all very sad & pathetic. He just threw everything away. It doesn't matter who he hit. He hit...no, beat another person. It happens to be a woman, who happens to be Rhianna. He is in a lot of legal trouble. He is already done in the court of public opinion.

Part of me hopes this story has been blown WAY out of proportion and that all this speculation is nothing more than just that, speculation.

However, deep down I'm afraid the it's all true. If it were a minor argument, or a slap or something like that, he'd be screaming of his innocence. His silence, and the silence of his handlers speaks VOLUMES. They haven't even ATTEMPTED damage control and that doesn't bode well for Mr. Brown.

Rihanna's people have spoken, albeit vaguely, they still said SOMEthing.

All Chris Brown's people have to say if this is true is "Chris did not do what they say he's done." and leave it at that. The public doesn't "deserve" any kind of explanation, even THAT much, but I think if he wants to continue performing and keep his fans on his side, he needs to do AT LEAST that much.

this just keeps getting worse and worse. no matter what happened or what was said, no one ever deserves to be treated in such a way. ever. i read that she also has bite marks on her fingers and arms in addition to her list of other heartbreaking injuries. this was a full-blown physical assault. no excuse. i hope that rihanna heals quickly in both body and heart. chris brown, you are majorly effed.

I feel sorry that this story is so public, but at the same time, it will serve the purpose of a) putting him on the bus to oblivion, and b) maybe encouraging other young girls to speak up about abuse.
On the other hand, I feel that given his unstable background and lack of education, I am not surprised.

I am in NO way condoning this situation but there have been NO official statements released by either of these people. I think it is a little crazy to be pulling his songs off the radio before getting the facts. If the media has changed the story around, he is being shunned for something that has not been confirmed.

On the other hand, if this is true...this is a very tragic story. These two are so incredibly talented and the fact that their talents may go to waste is very sad.

You never know...you'd be surprised how women are treated (even by other women) when they try to reach out about being abused when the man puts on a good show for everyone. You just never know. I pray she recovers physically and emotionally but it's going to be a long journey, poor kid.

I personally don't believe Rihanna is an "abused woman", meaning Chris Brown regularly beat up on her, I think they both had a volitale relationship which resulted in this big blow up.

I don't condone anyone hitting anyone (man or woman, weak or strong). This looks bad for both their careers period. Rihanna should really think twice before walking down the "abused woman" aisle. Her innocence will only last as long as her behavior can back it up.

Sure I will take a stab, Lula- don't kid yourself, your statements show that you condone an extremely violent response- attempted murder in response to a fight. Even if Rihanna hit him first, gave him herpes (which is the dumbest rumor I've ever heard), threw his keys out the window, the proper responses in the same order are: walk away, call your lawyer to see what you can do about the fact your gf knowingly gave you an std that omg 1 in 3 Americans have and call your rental agency for an extra set of keys. The proper response is NEVER strangle someone until they pass out, whether you are male or female.

Not only have police reports graphically described the bruises that Rihanna received, they have also said that Chris Brown didn't have a scratch on him. Chris Brown's friends have released statements saying that "he feels very bad for what he did," and no denials. She was treated by a doctor in a hospital for her injuries. So yeah, that would be why Rihanna is acting like a battered woman right now. The only way this could get worse is if she had actually died when Chris Brown was strangling her and saying "I am going to kill you." And honestly, I have this feeling that even then you would be making excuses for him, ya know, because if someone makes you mad, or hits you, you can kill them!

Thank god the law does not think the way people like you do. Self defense must be proportional. If Rihanna did slap Chris and he was upset about that, he could be filing assault and battery charges right now.

I just really don't get how much more beat up someone has to be than having bruises so bad her eyes are swollen and she passed out from being strangled for you to think she is a "battered woman." That's just screwed up.

lulu, Access Hollywood just reported that Rhianna slapped Chris while he was driving. It was reported that he pulled to side of the road and the fight escalated.
