Teen and twenty-something celebs have always had their run of the Hollywood scene but lately it seems like things are really getting out of control. Nicole was supposedly back in rehab last week, Paris might be going to jail...and over the holiday weekend things just got worse with Mischa's collapse and Lindsay's arrest for DUI and cocaine. In fact, it has been confirmed that Lindsay is definitely back in rehab for the second time this year. Compared to everyone else, Britney looks like she's really got it together. It seems as if times are changing since stars like Julia Roberts and Gwyneth Paltrow were the role models of today. So what do you think, has young Hollywood hit an all time low?

They all need help.
yes they've hit an all time low. I mean these girls are disgusting never in all my life have I seen girls flash the paparazzi and it become normal. It's disgusting and I can't wait for tabloids to start focusing on real actors and actresses, singers and such will real talent and common sense.
What scares me is younger girls aren't seeing their flaws as bad. Younger girls are still being influenced by these out-of-control starlets! I wish we had better role models for our younger girls out there in Hollywood. A girl can dream...
well the thing is that I don't understand why are they famous since all of them are untalented. Second, these girls are a zero to the left, because young Hollywood talented girls like Natalie Portman, Hilary Duff, Christina Aguilera, Scarlet, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel you dont see them pulling their inner "trailer park".
Well i;m glad Britney is getting herself together. YAY Britney! Maybe you need to spred your wisdom to the rest of young hollywood. :| (No, i'm not, nor was I ever a Britney fan)
Young Hollywood? I see only oneformer movie star who is box office poison, a former tv star whose star is about to fade out, a washed up pop star, an anorexic tw*t whose famous for being a side-kick and a wh*re famous for opening her legs in her very first starring role.
Definitely. It's bad.

@nyara
YES! these kids are out of control & I really fear for those younger folks who look up to them...
yikes..it's getting ugly..these girls can never serve as role models...
Good stuff Nyara!!!!!!
They're just too immature to handle being in the spot light. The Hollywood lifestyle has always been full of drugs and reckless partying think of Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe. But they can turn it into something positive and they choose to be this way and love the attention. They don't realize that most people are just shaking their heads in disgust while looking at them. If you see the ones who have used their fame in a positive way like Reese Witherspoon, Jessica Alba, Sarah Michelle Gellar they stay out of that scene
Um... I think that THOSE girls all need help. Like to be hopsitalized for mental disease. But There's a hell of lot more actors than those washed up use-to-be's. Natalie Portman. Is Rachel McAdams young hollywood. She's thirty. it's young to me. But maybe not to others. Jessica Biel. Scarlet Jo. Jessica Alba. Ciara/ Hell even Jessica SIMPSON! yeah i said her. She's not all trailer trashed out.
oh ya nyara.. I really never liked any of these girls except lohan.. and I liked paris for a little while... they all suck now..and why isnt lindsay lohan in jail instead of being pushed back to go to rehab,,these girls need to find Jesus..
I clicked outher it is very sad. I just hope they are all able to pull through this.
and I really dont know many young girls who look up to them, it is the media that makes them to be something who they are not.. I still love my pop though..
It is very sad what some young people use as standards of idolization. IMO some are more concerned about the fashion statements the celebs are making so they can use the term "I love them", then the unacceptable behavior they are displaying. If you seek the limelight all the time, then how hard is it to behave as if there will always be cameras focused on you? It really shouldnt be that tough, life is as hard as you make it out to be. Oh well, I will jump off my soapbox.
i dont see the point of any of them. paris? nicole? they are just rich kids.
everyone has a point of being around..
Beyonce. Shakira. Zooey. I'm still thinking. Orlando Bloom. Kate Bostworth. Heath ledger. even Katie holmes. i'll go find more.
Finally!! I hope they learn their lesson, but, most of all, I wish little girls who are influenced by these terrible role models learn that there's more to life than looking good, buy expensive clothes and party all day and f*uckin all night with people as dumb and reckless as them.
I hope these girls recover but dissapear from the public eye. I can't believe that they think that they're the best thing ever, when they're nothing but a walking disaster, as if anorexia, drug, casual sex, underage drinking and driving and flashing your vajay-jay to the entire world is glamourous and something to be proud of.
I agree ohilovemybabies, everyone has a point of being around. It just takes others longer to find their way. I hope that they are able to take their celebrity status and make good out of it.
It is unfortunate that all of these untalented beautiful young girls get the spotlight which only makes it worse. There are a lot of talented women in the industry right now too but they don't get the publicity. Thinking back to prior generations, they all had their "problem children" but it seemed to be a rebellious streak- thinking of Drew Barrymore, Madonna, Angelina Jolie.... so I hope these "now girls" wake up soon, they seem to be more prevalent than ever.
and most young girls are self obsessed with money and stuff and looking good, cuz their parents are that way too.. Hell, I didnt get knocked up at 18 cuz some celeb was doing it.. no we make our own choices.. I could care less what they are doing..
while i do think they obviously need help, I think its naive to think that stuff like this wasn't always going on in hollywood, media and paparatzi are out of control these days so they are completely overexposed, but sex and drugs have always been a part of young hollywood.
Skinny I am in a bitter mood today lol. All i'm asking is couple grand okay and these dumb b*tches are worth millions and still they aren't happy. Jees likeI wish everything could be taken away from them and they could live in a 3rd world country for a month. That would teach them. I mean Paris has herpes and still we got girls who think it's cool to sleep around cos of her. Aaargh!!!
I definitely think it's hitting an all time low. I really hope young girls aren't looking up to these young celebrities who, are really just a bad role models.
I don't even think there's any kind of comparison. Most of these girls and their images were created by the media and perpetuated by their unquenchable thirst for attention. It's not even right to compare Julia and Gwyneth to them. Not even the same ball park... not the same game... not even the same sport! Plus, were Julia and Gwyneth really even well known at all when they were in their teen/20-somethings?!? This is a whole new category and I wouldn't even call them 'starlets'. They're more like party girls for hire.
they all need their fame taken away, this is a disgrace to our younger generation these are the pathetic people our kids are looking up to as role models, its a shame, the only real person i would want my daughter to look up too is hiliary duff and thats sad i cant say that about anyone else
i don't care about any of them. all together they have a thimble full of talent, if that.
all of us should want our daughters to be looking up to us..too bad it does not always happen like that..
These girls need to get it together. I would love to know where some of their parents are, that's right White Oprah is at the club doing lines with her daughter.
thimble full of talent, glass full of vodka and a bag full of coke or heroin.
nyara, ME TOO!!!!
hmmm, where is the White Oprah? she's been so quiet the past couple of days. lawyer must have told her to STFU.
It is funny how all the blondes are getting in trouble...
i agree with ohilovemybabies and nyara..
put these partiers in a 3rd world country..and see how they survive..they would cry like the wussies (is that a word?) that they are, wouldn't even stand a chance. look at paris..trying to make everyone feel sad for her before she goes to jail, i'll be she'll be back to crazy ish after she gets out..ugh! money destroys people & yes, they all need to find Jesus or some spiritual enlightenment..not just rehab!
It is all the fault of reality TV. Now we don't have talent, we have "personality." These kids are just competing for publicity, which leads to power, networking, freebies and more!
-L @ Nyara... you're so right! But I guess the term "Young Hollywood" is still apt as this where most of them live & it's the centre of their playground. But really, even though this type of behaviour has been typical of a lot of Hollywood stars for a long time I think a lot of it happened behind closed doors in years gone by. It's only now with the internet and the increase in paparrazi that we get to hear about every sordid detail as and when it happens. And it is sordid, and disgusting and sad, that these drunken, slutty skanks, purely because they have become some of the most famous girls on the planet, have actually become role models and icons for young girls.
I fear for the future of womankind, I honestly do, when young girls everywhere try to emulate this kind of abhorrent behaviour and live this kind of reckless, spoilt, self-absorbed lifestyle.
And the saddest thing all of them are getting "E! True Hollywood Story"
i think its hard growing up these days, not for everyone but for plenty. i do think mayb we need better role models, i think i can look up to people like scarlett johannson and natalie portman, they seem grounded, but just coz those ladys above have had a messed up time dosnt make them bad people.
Ooops, I'm clueless when it comes to smiley faces etc... that was meant to be a laughing head.
i think it's always been like this with young hollywood, but the media just covers it more lately. i actually feel for most of them, because i went through a lot of similar things just a few years ago and it was hard enough to get through without the entire country looking on. i wish them all the best.
Yeah, I think these girls are out of control. But this is not anything new for Hollywood. Remember Drew Barrymore, Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp in their younger years. They were no angels, and had their drug problems as well. Its good to see that they were able to clean up their lives, hopefully these group will be able to as well.
I aint trying to be mean to anyone.. but why would you want to look up to a celeb for anything.. They don't even know we exist.. how about your mom or grandma or maybe some sweet lady from church..
I think it's always been like this in Hollywood, but with the media scrutiny and the internet sleuths, they can't run off to rehab without everyone finding out. I think back in the 80's it was also the hot guys (of the time) that were getting into trouble. Now it's the ladies turn. Oh well, it is entertaining! to watch!
The white Oprah is off snorting the cartilage off her nose. She's the kind of person I'd like to lob a grenade at, straight into her $25000 face. Ugh can't stand the b*tch!
I think it's worse now, the quickest way to fame is through a sex-tape and that's about the full gamut of their talents, a quick blow and staring straight into the camera with a dumb look on your face while your partner sqyeals like a stuck pig. Failing that you can get your own show cataloguing your other talent shopping on rodeo driv and saying"ummmm" and 'like' after every word.
I don't think these girls represent young hollywood.
I think that yes, these girls certainly need help. This stuff HAS been going on forever...does no one remember the Coreys and all their drug problems, Drew Barrymoore being in AA by the age of 14 or whatever. This is not a new problem, but it is still a problem. I think over the years the media and maybe society in general (we all know how we love our celeb gossip) has perpetuated this problem. We all knew those girls in high school that had to be the center of attention all the time, so what happens when you hand that girl a microphone, a movie script, a crowd of screaming fans and a swarm of papparazzi following her everywhere?! SEE ABOVE, These are those girls, most of them have parents that are just a attention hungry as they are, so they arent getting any support there. And then there is US. Yes, we eat everything these girls do up, so when they see that everyone is watching them and this behavior is getting them attention, then they are gonna keep dropping 30 pounds, and snorting lines in the bathroom stall because its what gets them attention, and thats all they want.
