Lindsay was in Hawaii with her boyfriend, and maybe future fiance, Harry over the long weekend, and is now at the Venice Film Festival for her new movie Bobby. She's hoping the film about Bobby Kennedy will encourage her generation to get more involved in politics. And even though William H. Macy called Ms. Lohan disrespectful during the filming, Emilio Estevez, who directed the film, praised LL's performance. Here's more:
"I feel I have always been somewhat politically engaged," she said.
"I strongly encourage people of my age and generation to have a say and to vote, and to involve themselves in what's going on in the world, because they are living in it.
"I've always been like that but I keep it to myself. It's safer that way."
Director and former Brat Pack star Emilio Estevez, speaking ahead of the film's premiere in Venice, praised Lohan's "authority" in her role.
"She really dug into it and was so committed," he said.
"Lindsay came to this wanting to be a part of something bigger. It wasn't about just putting her name on something. She really believed in this and we were lucky to have her."

9This movie is dead in the water. If they're banking on Lindsay to be the star vehicle to propel it to the top of the box office, they're sh*t out of luck.

23I think it's the hair. It's so dark, and long, and blah. That and the heavy eyeliner and the ugly attempt-at-retro dress make her look really dated.
24I was kind of excited about the dress but ugh! Maybe it would be flattering on someone else, but it is awful. The first thing I noticed is how ill-fitted it is in the bust. She is a big girl, so why does it look like she should be padding or stuffing her bra in those pics. Her scowl is irritating. Don't flash a peace sign with that look on your face. She looks horrid next to that tall, natural beauty in the b&w next to her. Who is that?

41Well, powermouse, in cartoons the air kiss always turns into a set of lips with wings and sort of flops over to the intended recipient. Based on that entirely scientific observation, I think there would be time to run away or duck.

I'm sure there are many factors in figuring the speed of an air kiss. The lung power of the kisser for one. Lipgloss also has to play a factor. She closes her eyes, so I'm not entirely sure there is a lot of aim involved...
But you have an excellent point sweet pea...you should be able to SEE the kiss seeking out its next victim...erm...recipient. But sometimes these things just happen too quickly...you know...no where to run to baby...nowhere to hide...
