I hope this isn't true. Not only will it keep the Brangelinaston gossip wheel turning, but it's going to be the only thing people will talk about rather than the Oscar winners. This is a big night for a lot of actors, directors, etc who deserve their accolades. It shouldn't be out-shined by this silly love triangle that only lives in the gossip blogs and in the minds of sour fans. I'm a Pitt-Jolie fan, and I don't dislike Aniston, but I really don't see anything positive coming out of her attending the Oscars. It'll be a show within a show. If the Oscar's are aiming for that then I'm truly disappointed. And I'm disappointed for Kate Winslet, Sean Penn, Penelope Cruz, and Danny Boyle (my picks).

Nygirl needs to get over the gossip. Jennifer Aniston has been in films this year that opened up at number one at the box office plus she's a Golden Globe winner. If Zac Efron can present this year and Jessica Alba can present last year - then there's no reason why Jennifer Aniston can't present at the Oscars. It's not like she's presenting Best Actor or Best Actress. And if she was? so what? Brad and Angelina aren't the frontrunners to win this year. So it's not like she's handing one of them a trophy.

I don't understand how Tom and Penelope & the rest of the HW circuit who dated/married each other are allowed to be in the same room but everyone else expects Brad, Angie, and Jen to never appear in the same room again. It's ridiculous.

I hope he doesn't show up in Popsugar or other tabloids for months too! I miss the serious musician with a fairly anonymous personal life. Fortunately he hasn't lost credibility as a musician, however his media ho side is definitely getting more press than his music these days.

Guess Jennifer might was well take the opportunity to present, since that is probably the only way she'll find herself on an Oscar stage. I agree with nygurl--hope there are no media shenanigans that take away from all of the hard working, talented, and deserving candidates in all categories.

A major part of the Oscars is the fashion - seriously, how does that (pretty much) superficial aspect differ too much from who turns up with whom? Jennifer's choice of date should have as much to do with which dress she chooses to wear. The red carpet and the parties are a complete seperate entity to the wards show. I'm sure the Oscar greats - Speilberg, Nicholson, Hanks, Winslet, Streep to name a few - couldn't give a toss who Jenn shows up with.

Oh I will tell how she will ruin it, cupcakers. These awards are like a night for Brad and Angie to get out, spend time together and its a really big night for them professionally. Now Brad, Angie, and Jen didn't have the best year...in terms of their always always always link in gossip talks. So the woman who calls Angelina Jolie uncool is gonna be there...ugh!!!!!!!! What a sucky night to spend out. Me, personally, I never hang where I am not wanted so I get greatly annoyed when I am FORCED to spend time with people I can't stand. I hope Jen presents the stupid technical award we know her butterface self is gonna present and then takes her deviated septum home and doesn't stay for the whole ceremony. I doubly hope she keeps her fug chin and hair off the red carpet. I have no interest in hearing the triangle BS the next day. I'm pretty sure none of the ppl in the triangle will do anything to create tension, however some of the media, like that yappy little Ryan Seacrest & others of his ilk might try. It's not like anyone expects a cat fight to break out, but it could be a awkward to run into one another on the red carpet. Hopefully handlers will time it so that doesn't happen.

Have Brad and Jennifer been in the same room since they broke up? I recall they were both at a film festival, in Canada I think, but never ran into one another. (Probably handlers had a bit to do with that.)

Also, sometimes people presenting don't walk the red carpet, whereas Oscar nominees are usually expected to. After Tom and Nicole split, he slipped in the back door (as he put it) to avoid the red carpet, presented an award, then left to watch it at home with their kids.

I think it's mean to get our hopes up that he won't show up on Pop for 3 months.

I haven't been interested in award's shows for years because 1) too many of them out their, 2) ALL of them that are televised are too long, boring, & predictable (same people seem "chosen to win EVERY award available) - Let's face it, the speeches go on FOREVER. Hell, decades ago, the Oscars actually meant more then it does now. When Bette Davis won her first Best Actress award in 1939 for "Dangerous"... she gave a 30 second speech thanking the academy & voters.

Besides... I thought only "PAST WINNERS" were presenters!? For YEARS the ratings for televised Awards shows (People's Choice Awards; MTV awards; Golden Globes; Oscars) get increasingly bad... But selecting "stars" who have no place being there (never having been nominated) stinks of desperation. It makes me sad.

For me, the Oscars no longer mean what they used to: HONORING the actual achievements of that years actors/actresses, directors & movies like they did when it started, & has become a popularity contest that has ZERO meaning.

"Slumdog Millionaire" was good... But NOT spectacular in that it should win EVERY award available, the same goes for "Dark Knight". I would like to see more diversity of wins even though I know most people will forget who's won what, at which show, before the year is over (excluding trivia buffs).

JenFan1 get real...Brad and Angelina are actually nominated there is no reason in the world...win or lose...they should attend. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button has the most nominations this year. Brad will be there and maybe this night won't be that predictable.Also how many couples get nominated at the same time in such important categories? Aniston should stay home and not fug up my freaking HDTV with her chin and sh!t. I like John Mayer, he can go where he wants, but Aniston who was talking sh!t all year can stay home and ruin someone else's's night. Maybe I take this way to serious but my life is nothing special (school and work)...and its the little things in life making me happy.
