Yesterday morning, before it became really official that Lindsay Lohan had checked herself into Promises in Malibu, the news emerged that she was at least official for one thing -- her new movie, Poor Things, co-starring Shirley MacLaine and Olympia Dukakis.

I imagine the producers probably would have liked to work the timing better. The film is scheduled to start filming this week, which may be difficult seeing as Linds is in rehab, but all details as to what that will mean for the movie are still pretty vague. She sounds like a bit (or a lot) of a liability, but perhaps some people want the press. As for Lindsay's time in rehab, her publicist finally issued an official statement:
"Lindsay admitted herself to an intensive medical rehabilitation facility on Memorial Day. Because this is a medical matter, it is our hope that the press will appreciate the seriousness of the situation and respect the privacy of Lindsay as well as the other patients receiving treatment at the facility."
Official statements are good, but hopefully Linds can actually find a way to get healthy this time. Looks like she needs it.

i really think she needs alot more time to herself to try and solve her problems
1I really hope she takes rehab seriously so that she'll get well.
2She physically makes me sick, I don't think I can ever watch a movie of hers now as any 'illusion' that she may have been able to create is now shattered, I can't believe that she is the character up on the screen because she lives her WHOLE life for the press. She needs to lay low, as in disappear for a long time, let everyone forget her a bit, then come back with a fantastic movie, because she is just wasting her talent and it's a shame...I think she should give it to me instead yey
3Yah but laying low is hard though I think she should stay at promises for the full program and lay off the partys and evaluate those around her. Once she gets out no ivy. No kitson, just stay home with a sponsor. I hate to see a talent go to waste. She can do it. I think this is her rock bottum. She needs to get locked up. That was a dui. No sugarcoating sentence terms. She should learn from this. I hope.
4She's lucky to have landed a role considering that at the moment, most insurance companies are seeing her a a liability and if a film can't get insured, she can't work.
5in her mind, if she's not a celebrity, she's nothing. and that is such a twisted way of thinking. i hope she gets help for real this time.
6I think it's compulsory for the insurance that she goes to rehab. I hope she will get better and I hope Vodka isn't sponsoring her birthday. She should be spending it in rehab alone to think about her craziness. I wish her well. I hope she realises that if she doesn't get clean she will lose everything that she has worked for. Her mother should also take some of the blame.
7If she goes out shopping and dining out again like the last time, she will have no future in Hollywood. This time it will be unforgivable.
8How does this girl keeping getting work (w/ Shirley MacLaine no doubt!)? I don't think she's had a hit movie since Mean Girls.
9She looks pretty in this picture. Now if only she can take rehab seriously...
10She needs to pull her head out of her butt. But i guess thats the price of fame. to much money and a god complex.Same ole sh-t different star! you think they would see the pattern.
11I like this picture of her.
12Hopefully rehab takes this time. I certainly don't want to wish death on her. She seriously needs to stop living life like she has been and become an adult. She's been acting so immature with her life.
andaman- the vodka company has pulled their sponsorship of her birthday.
Hopefully this time she takes her rehab a little more seriously. No interviews from rehab, no statements from Dina, No partying the night she gets out.
13They seriously expect the media to stay out of her business? Haha!
14Let's just hope she admitted herself because she wanted to and is actually concerned for her well-being.
15just go to Rehab Linds and get it over with ! we want you better
16Poor girl. So young and so screwed up.
17I hope this time does the trick! Good luck Lindsay!
18Good Luck Lindsey.
19The girl still continues to get the roles with great co stars!
As long as she keeps getting work, I don't think rehab will "take." Lindsay really has lost anything due to her drinking & drugging...yet. I hope she does get better because she's very young and she does have talent. She needs to lose the syncophants AND her mother and surround herself with people who truly care about her.
20ehhh I couldn't care less if she makes it through rehab. I don't believe that she wants to get better and she's making a mockery of those who really are there to get better.
21Why do movie production companies keep signing her up? Her movie Georgia Rule stinks and frankly she has really gone down hill. I don't go see any of her movies! Gosh is we all turn our heads maybe she will go away!
22I watched Prairie Home Companion, Twice, actually. I wanted to see how bad she sucked, because everyone said she would, because all she did was party through it.
23I thought she played her part just fine. It wasn't a huge role, more of a character that helped along the conversation, mostly between Streep and Tomlin.
Directed by Robert Altman and with a cast of Kevin Kline, Meryl Streep, Lily Tomlin, Woody Harrelson, Tommy Lee Jones, Virginia Madsen and even Maya Rudolf from SNL, for people to blame LL for the failure is laughable.
I don't think people cared about a movie about old time radio, especially a pointless one. The only worthwhile parts were Tomlin and Streep bantering back and fore, much of which LL had a part in.
I would have done the movie too, to have a chance to act with such greats.
Am i crazy or have i heard this statement before. Either her publicist gave this statement last time. Or Britney's gave it last time.
24I agree w/ Skinny. She is gonna quit anything unless she faces some real concequences...
25*isn't
26supposedly she was to begin filming this week... Methinks that isn't the case now. I bet she'll get dropped from this movie as well. Her BS during Georgia Rule cost tons of money & prolly hurt the box office numbers as well.
27
28I f*ckin give up.
Hopefully she is getting the right help that she needs.
29LL was out the night before rehab. She was vomiting before she passed out in a friend's car. Would Drew Barrymore or someone calls her please??? This girl needs serious guidance.
30I really wish her well. She is a very talented actress.I also think that she very pretty. I hope that she can get her life together. I think there is a difference between being young and having fun and having a problem.
31oh yep this girl is having a few problems vanilla bean. I have said all along that she takes drugs and she is out of control. I'm looking forward to seeing her getting her head together though. I want to see her wiser and healthier.
32Will someone please wake this girl up? LL and Brit make rehab a joke.
33thats were that loser belongs, actually not at promises at a real rehab
34Lilo needs to go to Betty Ford or Hazeldon and so does Britney. Promises looks like a freaking resort...I'd like to spend 30 days there
35why isn't she in jail?
36How nice that celebs go to rehab and don't do jail time. That's probably what will happen with her. If only everyone else was able to do the same.
Why does she still get movie roles? Her movies usually fail at the box office. She's not a good actress. She is pretty, though.
37When she is in rehab, people need to stop catering to her every need, and force her to take care of herself and take responsibility.
38It really bothers me that people say she is "such a good actress". No she isn't...what has she done that was "wow". Mean girls maybe, but that was a good ROLE, not "amazing acting". There are too many truly good actresses looking for work for her to be called a good one.
39I hope she gets clean and stays that way.
40I can't stand this spoiled brat! She's really gone downhill since her goody two shoe movies! Oh Herbie the Lovebug is crying now!! lol
41She didn't take rehab seriously the first time. I truly think that Promises and Wonderland are not the places to go for people that are actually serious about getting sober. They just catered to her last time.
42no rehab can help her out..she will be sober for a short period of time when she gets out but she'll be back to her old ways in no time..
43perhaps she should go to a rehab facility for non-celebrities...instead of "Promises" in Malibu. i'm sure that place is like a vacation...and when she gets out, she'll be back to normal
44She's got problems and she'll get jobs because she's got potential and she's got a lot of publicity.
45I just can't help but feel that this rehab stint is to avoid jail time. Oh, wait, but celebs rarely go to jail. Anyway, I understand what it's like to battle with addictions, but I really don't think this is a sincere effort to get clean. She's just trying to avoid trouble.
46I am so happy to hear that Lindsey is in rehab because she needs it and so do her friends/ associates.
47Rehab again, huh? This type of sh!t is what happens when a child from a young age is pimped out for attention and forced to be something they are not and under the control of a gazillion people. She probably never had a normal childhood and was famous through her teen years. She's never had a "normal" life. Even though I cant stand her, I can understand that. I guess everything she has been doing has been her rebelling and trying to get her childhood/teenage years back or at all..Same thing with Britany. Her parents primped her up and pimped her out on a stage since she was tiny, she's got people in her face her whole life telling her who to be to make everyone happy/money, including her parents. Of course she flips out! They've been controled by sooo many more people than the rest of us as kids. People's lives(paychecks, jobs...) depended on their success and Im sure they were told that every freaking day, while at the same time having normal kid activities snatched away by crazy film schedules, classes, filming location jumps, performances-the list goes on and on.... That's waaay to much pressure to grow up under. By trying to gain control of their lives, they overdo it and lose control. But I can understand...Forcing someone to grow up too fast will cause some to retract when they hit a certain age to get back what was "stolen" from them. I dont know...just my crazy analogy..I always do this..lol
48I hope she takes rehad seriously because she really needs it. She's not even 21 and is already an alcoholic. Hopefully this time at rehab will actually change her.
49Lindsey wanted to be actress. She stopped acting at like 11 because she wanted to. Then she started acting at 17 because she wanted to.
