The American Idol auditions are officially over, and last night the performances began. We weren't exactly blown away by most of last night's singers, but we're looking forward to seeing the results tonight. It's a different feel with a new judge and contestants getting saved rather than kicked off, so tell us — are you into the new American Idol format?

I'll make up my mind when I see who the judges bring back for the wild card round. I think a lot of people deserve another shot, but I'll be curious to see who gets it.
2well i think that it's about time that they tried to change things up a bit, so i guess it's ok. i don't know - i wasn't wowed by anyone last night....
3I haven't really been watching it this season yet. So what's going on?
4I love Anoop but I feel like he didn't sing as best to his abilities. I've seen loads of videos on youtube which showcase his amazing vocal chops. So I gotta say I'm really disappointed America didn't see that last night. I hope he doesn't go home for it. Also, Danny and Alexis were great! So that would be my top 3 for last night.
5I haven't watched since Taylor Hicks won. Too contrite and controlled for me to get into it.
6The new format doesn't seem fair. There may be many talented singers on one night and the other nights may have terrible or mediocre singers. I really hope that Danny Gokey, Anoop Desai, and Anne Marie Boskovich make it to the next round even though Danny was the only one who performed extremely well last night. I don't like Alexis Grace.
7I am not watching it either. I couldn't even tell you who the contestants are.

I am so confused by this new format and I believe some people got the shaft too early....I don't know if I will continue to watch it anymore but I hope for their return in the wild card round...how ever that happens.
