After a long weekend of parties and friends dropping like flies, Nicole stopped off for a little mani/pedi action in Beverly Hills. Unfortunately Nicole got in a little trouble for leaving her car illegally parked outside the nail salon. It was obviously no sweat off Nic's back, though, as she didn't budge when the cop came in to talk to her about the situation. What's a little ticket to a Hollywood starlet? Also, this morning, Nicole went on Seacrest's morning show to talk a little about Paris and a little about that controversial party invite. Here are highlights:
- On Paris' Jail Time: “Of course [Paris] is” scared. [Paris was treated] really unfair. I don’t know if she necessarily could have done anything to stop that. I think sometimes people just get exploited and I hope that doesn’t happen to me … I don’t think there’s anything I can do to stop that.”
- On the party invite: "I do it for every time, for every single holiday … I don’t’ even know what to say about it, especially someone like me, I’m not a serious person at all and no one thinks I am, so I’m really confused why people think [it is serious].”
While I doubt most people think that Nicole was really planning on having a scale at the door, I still don't think the invite was in particularly good taste. As for her day in court for her DUI? It's coming up June 8, so I guess we'll get to see whether Paris' sentence (or "exploitation") has set any sort of precedent after all. My guess though, Nicole won't be serving any sort of hard time.
More pics of Nicole prettying up her nails, so just read more

i like you nicole, but get real. paris got what she deserved and if you're found guilty, the judge shouldn't hesitate to give you a FAIR sentence.
1:ROFL: well i hope she gets thrown in jail with paris...actually throw lindsay in there too!!!
2See? All a joke and now everyone can stfu about it.
3Ps... Nicole looks freakin adorable and I wish her all the best!
4i think she's funny. about to die, but funny.
5Its obvious that it was a joke. It was also intended for her inner circle of friends. I think (I hope) she wouldve chosen her words more wisely if she knew this would get leaked. For that reason, I dont think it can truthfully be qualified as being in bad taste because it wasnt meant for the media to exploit.
6LOL @ marriednotdead's comment! That's priceless!
7Has anyone noticed that celebs are always 'talking' on their cell phone - but you never see their lips moving in the photo?
8Oh God, I absolutely love this... Pictures of her sitting there, completely unperturbed that a police officer has had to come in to tell her that her car is parked illegally, no intention of moving it, because why in the hell should she?? She's a celebrity, the rules don't apply to her, and they shouldn't apply to Paris either. Unreal, they should've towed her stupid car. I hope she goes to jail too. These people are morons, thinking they can go around taking other peoples lives into their hands by driving under the influence and then it's "exploitation" when somebody actually has the cheek to hold them accountable. Priceless. I hope they put her in jail too... hey, maybe they can put them both in together and film a Simple Life in there. Idiots.
9Yeah, it's a really funny thing to say that someone is about to die! Wow!
10Thive you took the words out of my mouth. Love her outfit!
11Oh I hope you get treated like Paris in court, Nicole. I mean you were driving in the wrong lane (I think), in the freeway, DRUNK.
12I'm am praying and hoping that Hollywood would do a 360 degree on us and not pay attention to these no talent, famous for being stupid and drunk starlets And bring back the real talented people. I think that Hollywood should visit Performing arts colleges like Julliard and find their next "It" girl there. At least these girls would have more talent and acting background and could really hold themselves with other actors in a movie.
Please.....Pairs was treated "unfairly"....If it was any other American....we would of been in jail a long time ago...Get a Grip Nicole!
13I'm not a big fan of either Paris or Nicole, but atleast Paris actually eats! Nicole isnt funny and is gonna die any day now if she gets any thinner!
14I have come to realize that the difference between great actresses in the Old Hollywood and the supposedly great actresses of the Young Hollywood is theater background. For example in Old Hollywood you have actresses like Helen Mirren, and Cate Blanchet who have done actual theater work (not grade school plays) and are known for their stage presence and acting. The Young Hollywood, on the other hand, you have the likes of Lindsay and Scarlet, who I think are one-dimensional in their acting. They don't have enough voice range and emotional range, whereas with Cate and Helen they do. In theater you have to be quick and really remember your lines. You have to be able to show anger, sadness, vulnerability and joy in one Act without shouting "Cut I think I need some time to really get into my character firt before I film," which you can do in Tv shows and movies.
15Please feel free to agree or disagree with what I think.
Nicole looks ADORABLE.....
Hopefully people will drop it since it was obviously a JOKE that we weren't even supposed to read, but her "friends" leaked it.
16i honestly dont see what the fuss was about with that email. it was a private email to. her. FRIENDS. is anyone here always PC when they message with close friends? no. sheesh.
17wait, did people think she was being serious before she had to explain she was joking????
18Yes people though she was serious, even after her rep said that it was a joke.
19Here's one way to avoid being "exploited" like your dear friend, Paris - don't friggin drive under the influence! Ooops, too late! Oh well, it's not your fault, Nicole, it's those dastardly exploiters!!!
20THive, I think MarriedNotDead's comment was hilarious! If it's funny enough for Nicole to make fun of her eating-disorder / weight problem in her party invite, then how come we can't joke about it too? The girl clearly starves herself, she's not stupid so she knows she's risking her life in order to maintain her skeletal figure, and to be honest if she does go ahead and starve herself to death it'd be no great loss in the greater scheme of things.
21luv the outfit.
22It is obvious the invite was a joke. As far as her latest DUI she deserves to be treated fairly and I don't think jail would do any harm. When you break the law you should get what you deserve.
23Pinkflats, I totally agree, being a sucessful theater actor requires depth of character and intelligence. Neither of which is required to be a Hollywood starlet. As we can clearly see
Oh, hello Paris.
24The invite was a joke people! Get over it.
25I get so irritated by anything Nicole and Paris. I just don't understand why either one of them are famous. They are pointless, other then watching the utter low of how women are perceived. They are the type that give women a bad name.
26kikitee if she really has an eating disorder, then she obviously has a problem that should not be made fun of. I don't know if you have ever known anyone personally who has had one but, you can't help them until they want the help. Laughing about it is pretty cruel and disgusting. But, that is just my opinion which I am entitled to, just like you are entitled to thinking that it is hilarious that she might die because she has a problem.
27oh nicole. park somewhere legal next time.
28Get real, grow up! Get some food!
29Yea, it was obivs a joke email. It would serve her better to make sure who her friends are though if they forwarded that email to the media....figure out who can be trusted before sending something like that out. Silly Girl! I think she is looking better now than she has in the past.
30Thanks Kiki tee. That has been inside my head for such a LONG time and finally there is Popsugar to allow me to vent.
31Oh hey, woodycakes. I guess I was right about bumping into you in one the posts.
I can't believe anyone took that email seriously. Come on people. I know its hard to sense sarcasm in print but that was very obviously joking.
I just don't get why the famous pay no regard for laws. I know you're rich and all and a $50 or $100 ticket is pocket change to you but seriously, have some respect no matter how rich you are. Get over yourself, please.
32Paris did not get treated unfairly. Nicole just wishes that were true so she can use the same excuse if she gets punished.
When you violate the law 3 times, you are going to have to accept the consequences. Duh.
33I'm just saying that if you're gonna defend her right to make fun of eating disorders then don't be giving out about other people making a big joke out of it too. For all you know I could have an eating disorder, and so could marriednotdead... THEN it would be acceptable for us for us to joke about the fact that she looks close to death??
34(-this isn't to anyone in particular-)
But, sometimes people have to make fun of themselves. We all have our own vices/addictions/problems...and if we heard people criticizing us on a daily basis - we would probably take on a defensive, "F*** You!" attitude too.
I just feel like we shouldn't throw stones...because all of us know what it feels like to feel insecure about something or hide something. (drinking, smoking, eating fast food, not eating enough food, not managing money well, etc etc) It would suck to have someone remind us everyday that we have a problem/bad habit.
So, yeah - I think her email was a joke. It was sh*tty for her friend to leak it, though.
35kikitee I'm not sure if you are talking to me or Thive- but I had a friend who had an eating disorder who almost died so maybe that is why I think it is disgusting and cruel to make fun of someone for it.
36If you have a disorder, then I feel sorry for you and hopefully you can get your disorder taken care of.
Once again this is just my opinion to think that it is disgusting and cruel to joke about
oh yeah, Poor Paris my ass. No one exploited Paris, Paris has been exploiting herself for YEARS!
37i think kaylensmommy described the situation perfectly. i love nicole richie and even though people just see her and other members of young hollywood as a bunch of dumb, rich girls with no regard for the law, that doesn't mean that they still don't have dark points in their lives too. on the newest simple life, on the first episode, nicole talks about how it hurts to hear the same ridicule day after day and no matter who you are, rich or poor, famous or not, just because you can laugh at it and seemingly shake off that problem, doesnt mean that it still doesnt hurt. and bottom line, thinking somebody will die soon is not funny. people make it sound like they want her to die. what basis do you have wishing death on anybody? (this isnt to anybody in particular, just a general thought everyone should consider). i feel like i see those comments way too often on popsugar - "why doesnt she just do us all a favor and die!" - about many different celebrities, especially those of young hollywood, and thats sad and heartless, in my opinion.
38xxbritney I agree with you. I am seeing way too many cruel comments on here lately. I feel like I am reading stuff from tmz or perez, which I hate those sites because of the nasty comments people leave.
39Should she be driving?
40She can't be serious! Paris got what she deserves and hopefully so will Nicole. They live life as though they don't have to be responsible for their own actions. They are over grown kids that need to act and live as adults. She needs to shut herself up with a cheeseburger!
41Ski, I agree with you about Perez etc, and I have completely stopped going to those sites because all that meanness was pretty hard to stomach with my morning latte. I find the (mostly) friendly atmosphere on Popsugar much more palatable! But people will always want to express their opinions, however strongly, and even if we don't agree with them we all have to accept that we're grown ups and we can take it. Nobody on here today said they want Nicole die, just that she looks like she could die, and she does! She looks really thin and really ill these past few days. But this whole debate started because she chose, for whatever reason, to make fun of that fact in her party invite by saying that girls over 100lbs wouldn't be allowed in. All things considered this was in pretty dubious taste to begin with and it seems some of the comments, including mine, just picked up on what Nicole herself started and ran with it.
Ski, I hope your friend is doing much better now.
42Send this spoiled brat to jail.
43I think she should have to pay for her mistakes, just like you and I would have too.
44this girl repulses me, everything about her makes me sick and i hope she gets what she deserves cuz she is a mean spirited person and she tries to play it off by "being funny/stupid" nice try...
45italygal: i honestly dont see what the fuss was about with that email. it was a private email to. her. FRIENDS. is anyone here always PC when they message with close friends? no. sheesh.

Exactly! I completely agree.
I think Nicole is funny and thought the invite was too. If that makes people think I have "bad taste" then oh well. Sometimes people make a big deal out of nothing.
It's also better to hear it in her own words rather then reading it. They do have the interview up for download on radio stations website.
46I do have to say though, I don't agree with her on the Paris thing. But you know, they're friends so of course she is going to publicly support her especially when she's facing a similar situation!
47Ugh, I absolutely hate that useless, no-talent twit, who scarily enough, has actual fans because she suddenly morphed into this fashin "icon," just because she put on some designer clothes. And I thought the invite was disgusting, especially since it was used in that joking, cavilier way, but then again, I'm not a stick-thin, pot-smoking, drivng-under-the-influence starlet.
48I hope she is.
49what planet do these girls live on and when does the next spaceship leave for it?
