Angelina Jolie was all bundled up in her full length North Face coat on her way out of a studio after a meeting in NYC last night. She wasn't too cold to wave to the cameras, though shielded herself from the flashes with her sunglasses. Brad was spotted in Vegas where he's spending a few days with the older boys, Pax and Maddox, while Angelina is in Manhattan with the rest of the kids. Rumor has it that Angelina had some other official business to take care of in the city — finding herself a suitable necklace to borrow for the Oscars, perhaps something in the $20 million ballpark. Angelina doesn't need any breathtaking baubles to get attention on the red carpet, but maybe there's something encouraging her to look extra special this time.

6I have that coat in a powder blue and it is soooo warm - perfect for the really cold months when I have to walk to the El. But how come EVERYTHING has to be black with her? Like, literally, everything.

9Honestly the coat is for warmth, why critique something that is clearly more of a functional piece than a fashionable piece. If I was in a cold-weather state I would wear such a coat!

13It looks pretty practical for a cold winter night in NYC. Lots of people pack mostly black when they travel a lot. It's easier to travel with less when all your stuff coordinates and doesn't show every little spot like a light color would. They already have so much luggage to manage with their brood.
Can't always run back to the closet to changes if something spills, and with six small children, there are probably lots of splatters and spills.
14Coat can be both, warm and ugly or warm and pretty. But the same coat can look ugly on one person and sexy and someone else. That's just the way it is.

29with how windy it was here last night she NEEDS that coat - even today it's frigid. i hope that she's able to find a nice piece of jewelry to wear to the Oscars...i'm also kind of hoping that she's not wearing a baggy dress again. she's got her body back into shape so she should show it off

32She may be stunning but her she has no style and I've been less than impressed with her recent red carpet attempts. The blue dress from the SAG was a nice try, but somehow didn't quite work. I can't wait to see what Jen will be wearing to the oscars because she has such a great taste and I love almost everything she wears.

Coat looks warm and black is practical, We all aren't cursed with the worry Posh must feel every moment of the day; worried the world will end if our ensemble isn't just right the moment we step out.

For those who voiced curiosity at what Aniston... who has nothing to do with this thread btw... will wear to the Oscar's.... has she ever worn anything other than black to an awards show? I don't keep a card index of who wore what when and where, but I do recall reading articles in the past, (when she used to actually get nominated for stuff,) commenting on how she always wore black.
I've seen Angie in bright yellow, bright green, grey, white and blue in the last couple of years. Maybe she'll shock us all with a pastel.
38That's what I love about this whole thing. No matter what she wears, her entire life is about the hype, so it's going to disappoint. She hasn't knocked it out of the park in a really long time. Actually, it's been a whole lot of phoning it in.
I also don't understand knocking the NorthFace coat. It's practical. And it's freezing on the east coast. The all black all the time is more than depressing, though. Like I've said before, I pray they have color in their home. Well, I guess they can find a home to rent where the actual owners have color. Kids need color.

40Angelina is not her hair and not her body "I am not my haiiiir or my body", like Chinnifer, she's the total package. How can someone not like some pants that are covered by a coat. The coat looks like something I would wear, I fail to see what's so hideous about it. Angelina is looking gorgeous as usual. It seems as though some of us don't know what winter, spring, summer and fall colors are, that's key to fashion and plus, this is Angelina Jolie,.she's still a punk kid at heart, black is her thing.
