As Kate Winslet took the podium to accept her award for Best Actress, she immediately tried to find her parents in the crowd to thank them. She asked her dad to give her a hint and he responded with a clear whistle — one of the more touching moments of the night. Later on, her parents joined her with her new trophy at the afterparties.
