Apart from one short excursion out of the center, Lindsay has been quietly hanging out at Promises since she checked herself in Monday afternoon. Luckily, she doesn't have to tell us how it's going because everyone else is happy to do the job for her. Her friend told People, "She's happy where she is and is just taking time to herself to learn and be okay. I've been in touch with her and she likes it." I'm not sure that rehab is really meant to be liked, but okay.
Her lovely father felt the need to open up to E! about his daughter's supposed abuse of OxyContin. Thanks, dad! As he told the network, "I spoke to the people treating Lindsay, because I wanted to make sure she was getting the right care. And I'm satisfied they are doing the right thing for her, helping her detox from the painkillers and things. That's a very important step."
As for that movie career, the producers of her upcoming movie Poor Things, Shirley MacLaine and Rob Hickman, say they will rearrange the shooting schedule to accommodate Linds. Though other industry insiders are saying that all this controversy will end up costing Lindsay roles. Wouldn't be surprised.
And in the final bit of Lohan news, Lindsay's lawyer (who had an oddly involved role in all this -- what happened to Zelnick?) has said that her 21st B-Day party in Vegas will go on! Vodka sponsor or not! Sounds...healthy.

1Weird to say this ,but it seems LL could stand to take a little advice from brittbritt and get some of those people out of her life.

4She's jus tlike Paris hilton, somehow became famous and milks it. Most of her movies are horrible, and her music even worse. She's young but she needs to get her crap together. And maybe out of the movie business.

One more point, to me it is sad that are people struggling to get the help they need to fight their addictions. and whether it be financial or other reasons they are not able to have a resource like she does.
Then you have the people in Promises that are trying to turn their life around and have to deal with someone like LL.
Don't get me wrong I am all about celebrating your 21st birthday. but....
If she gets out and has a 21st birthday sponsored by a vodka company, don't you think that is a slap in the face to anyone who really wants her to get better. do you really honestly believe you can be around all that alcohol and drugs after 30 days of rehab?
I don't think so and it is just sad.

14Roxy17, I agree. Rehab isn't a "thirty" day process. Once you acquire an addiction, it's usually a life long battle to stay clean and focused. Rehab is just a small step in becoming a person who can be happy and whole without drugs and alcohol. A part of me feels bad for LL...I understand on a personal level what she is going through. But she won't ever get better until she acknowledges she has a problem, learns to take pride in herself and her talents, and gets rid of all the toxic people in her life ( including her parents, lawyers, fake friends,) if need be.
I mean, what is that? A huge birthday bash should be the last thing her lawyer, family, etc. should be planning for this girl. What they need to do is plan on getting her some therapy, so she can get her head straight.

17I thought when you go into rehab you are not allowed to leave the premises or have contact with loved ones for like the first 30 days of your treatment, so what makes these celebs so special that they think they can be healed or treated in 30 days or less.

20Rehab was probably her attorney's advice to her in order to avoid further charges and possible jail time. So, when her court date comes, if it happens, he can say she has changed and now has been clean for whatever amount of days, and she will most likely receive a lesser sentence like probation or something. Like a said her rehab is a crock.
21yes, coz once you're done with rehab (after a wild stint in alcoholism and cocainism), the perfect spot to live it up is vegas baby. sin city? what~? that's how you cleane your soul, BABY~!!! oh and while you're at it, wh*re it out to all those papparazzo; LL, i used to love you but you are just legs spread wide apart from being the most disappointing, beautiful (don't really think you are "talented", unless that you call booby/crotch shots taken with a dollop of coke and downed with some straight vodka)..

34I really don´t think Lindsay is an alcoholic, she sometimes drinks too much for her age and addressing this problem is what rehab is for, not turning her into an alcoholic
35Lindsay certainly meets the criteria for substance dependence i.e. alcoholic. She continues to drink dispite the negative consecquences, she has a high tolerance, it interferes with her daily life (missing work), and she is unable to stop drinking on her own. I could go on and on. She easily meets the criteria for substance dependence according to the American Psychiatric Association.

When you are in rehab as a legal adult, they will not release any information AT ALL to ANYONE without the patient's permission. Not Mom, Not Dad, NO ONE. It is against patient/doctor confidentiality, and at rehab, it is especially so. I doubt she gave permission to Promises to discuss her treatment with her Dad, seeing that their relationship is non-existent.
By the way... all these celebs make a ton of money; why not HIRE A FREAKING DRIVER for the nights you are out clubbing?!?

40She is only 20, Kate Moss at 33 going on to 56 is way worse than Lindsay. Lindsay has terrible parents, and she has so many people who depend on her financially. She has probably no real friends in Hollywood. Paris Hilton is crappy she is like 25 and can't even stay out of trouble at this age it's not even funny. Paris Hilton is waaaayyyy worse than Lindsay. Lindsay seems really smart and tries to carry out her responsibilities but so many phonies in Hollywood she needs to just focused on work and tries to do good work and stay out of the party scene until she knows she can handle the peer pressures.
