Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman walked the red carpet together in Tokyo earlier today for another Australia premiere. Both actors took the stage at Sunday's Oscars, but it's Hugh's hosting job that is getting much of the credit for a boost in ratings. During the broadcast, Hugh poked a little fun at Australia and gave a shoutout to X-Men Origins: Wolverine, showing that this is one actor who takes his promotional work seriously enough to sing about it.

11huh - it's been a LONG time since Australia was out here, i can't believe that they are still talking about it somewhere. i know that Nicole tried to bail on a lot of the press before so i wonder if she's happy about being on this press junket.
12I'm pretty sure she didn't say anything bad about the movie. Her comments seemed to have been misconstrued - I got the impression that she meant she is always self-critical of her performances and happened to be talking about this particular performance when she mentioned that she couldn't look at herself and asked her husband if it was awful. I can't see Nicole Kidman being anything less than gracious when promoting her own movies - especially one that allowed her to work with Baz Luhrman again.
