Pete Wentz led the way as Ashlee Simpson carried Bronx into a Fall Out Boy concert in Brighton yesterday on their mini UK tour. Bronx had his eyes wide open getting a taste of dad's career, and pretty soon he'll have a new place to watch mom work. Ashlee is reportedly joining the cast of the the Melrose Place spinoff playing a girl named Violet, "whose disarming naiveté masks the calculating, shrewd sex kitten within." You guys aren't too pumped to see Ashlee and Pete on CSI:NY, but this new show already sounds like the kind of guilty pleasure we'll have to check out.

1I was looking forward to the new Melrose Place but now that she is on there she has ruined the show and I don't think I will be watching it now.

3They were on the Dog Whisperer with their bulldogs before she gave birth, they sound like stoned stupid teenagers when they speak. Hopefully they will be diligent, responsible and meticulous parents to their beautiful son.

5she was on 7th Heaven for a while years ago. not sure that really makes her an actress lol but she did television before. i hear mischa barton is trying for a role too- which is right up her alley, she needs to be a marissa cooper again- that's all she can do actingwise

13I always liked her on Seventh Heaven, but I don't know if after playing that goody two shoes little girl for so long if I can see her as a Vixen, which is what her character will be. Only time will tell.

17Shamontville - that CM episode was what made me really start disliking Pete and Ashlee. I never felt either way about them. She was sort of annoying, but not enough to make me notice her much.
Then they appeared on The Dog Whisperer and the way they talked about their dogs made me sick. She said something like "Obviously we won't have as much time for the dogs once the baby arrives" and she bought the one dog to keep the other company because from what it sounded like, once Bronx arrived, who needed the dogs?
That really irked me.
PS...who could forget her stellar performances on 7th Heaven?
18um wow - ashlee on melrose. i don't know if i could get into it. i have to say that her character on 7th heaven worked for her since she was so new on the scene - now i just don't know.

21i know this isn't the popular answer -- but i really don't mind her! actually find her interesting. i feel like she is getting "hated on" more than she ever deserved. "outta my head" was actually a really fun song, especially at the gym! and i liked her older albums. so i'm glad she finally has a job. now her sister -- she is another story. i really am repulsed by jessica.
22ponyluv, very well said. I think she's gotten a bad rap, and I think it's all because of the ill-fated SNL performance. I think that's what started it.
People don't WANT to like her for some reason and I just don't get it.
