Clive looks so handsome!!

Not to be mean, I swear, because she is a pretty woman...but why do all these super HOT non-American actors have "average" wives - anyone else notice this?

Hugh Jackman, Clive Owen, and Pierce Brosnan, 3 of my favorite men, and all of them have beautiful wives if we are talking normal, average woman beauty, but sub-par compared to them and men of their stature.

Just an observation.

maybe they like real women who don't get botoxed?

It's not really anything scientific nguijol, but it just seems their wives seem older, less attractive than the women on the arms of comparable celebrities.

By average, I mean average women in everyday life (the woman working at the bank, the receptionist, your denitist, lol etc...) not all that glamorous and super skinny.

Oh Clive gets me week in the knees! So handome! And Julia is a cutie pie.
Clive and Julia seem to have great chemistry, anyone else think so? You could see it in Closer, and I kind of want to see Duplicity!

Maybe Zeze, it's all relative... They seem "less attractive" because they're standing next to super-hot men...

And maybe, JUST maybe, they're not vain people who only rely on looks. They've built their life with the women they fell in love with and that's the most important thing in their opinions. MAYBE they find them beautiful even if you don't ?

Maybe other things attract them than movie star looks? I will say that his wife could have picked a more flattering outfit.

i'm sure that this movie will do 'ok' but i'm not sure that it's going to be FANTASTIC. i know that i'll go see it though since i love julia and i think that clive is just 'yummy'

As a non-famous type, if I were married to a man in the entertainment business I'd be damned if I would let the female stars outshine me! I wouldn't do anything unnatural but I would definitely step my wardrobe, hair and face up on 'company time'. I guess it's a personal choice.

Clive's wife is pretty and I'm glad they have have chosen these girls instead of hollywood plastic. Julia needs to lay off, it's like she's trying to literally get into his pants, which after the way she got Moder I would't be surprised. Yeah, I'm still not over that. I really think she's old news, sorry fans.

when julia isn't all done up, i think she looks pretty "average"...she's just so damn recoginizable! oh well, she looks great! and clive....oh my.....HOT!

oh please, people act like they are goody two shoes and jump on people making accurate observations..YES, this woman is homely looking. If this was a Jennifer Aniston post, (some) people would be harping how ugly Jennifer is how old she is etc etc..Jennifer is by far prettier than this woman, but it cracks me up how the same people that will say JA is ugly, will say something negative about a comment calling this woman subpar. People need to get off their high horse and realize that people think differently. This woman is lacking in the looks department and could never be a model I don't care how much Clive loves her.

No makeup, no earrings, her hair looks like it's pulled back ready to get her faced washed, and her dress looks like she's going to church services. She could have done much better...and the smirk on her face could be a smile at least.

I guess what they are saying is that she (Clive's wife) should know what is expected of her at events and she should try harder to at least be at the bar if not able to jump over. As far as Jennifer Aniston is concerned, she is very average looking without her team, fresh faced and without hair extensions she veers to the below average side. And in comparison to most other women in Hollywood even with the team's help she pales in comparison. You mentioned a smirk on his wife's face being unappealing; which is funny because it's when JA talks through her teeth it reminds me of Thurston Howell on Gilligan's Island or something- that makes her uglier to me.

I've seen Clive's wife somewhere else and she looked so gorgeous. She had her hair down and was with him at the BAFTAs when he won like 5 years ago. He seemed so in love with her. They met playing Romeo and Juliet onstage how romantic.

I showed the pic of Clive and his wife to my hubby and he said - oh wow, THAT is his wife? I guess we all just expect something different since he is always impeccably dressed and groomed, and handsome, etc. Clive has said before in interviews he has to drag his wife to these events because she is everything but a "Hollywood" wife...she refuses to be. He said she is a hippie at heart, into crafts and staying home, but that he thinks she is a diamond.

I don't understand the comparisons with Jennifer Aniston at all. You can't compare someone who craves the spotlight and the glam of Hollywood, and someone's housewife and mother of his children who longs to keep their lives as normal as possible.

I just can't get enough of Clive ~ am really looking forward to this movie!
