Amy Winehouse is a raw and talented breath of fresh air to these barely-talented and overproduced "music artists" that are currently in the industry. Don't think for a second that she has to conform her retro R&B/rock style to the guidelines of a bunch of housewives in front of their computers.

I have a question, I wonder if I was the only one bothered by this. Thinking of "girl" music artists in recent years, many of them Britney and Christina to name two, they always get all kinds of crap for being too sexy. However Rihanna is barely 18, just turned in February and I haven't seen a word about her. What was that performance outfit last night, and some of her recent red carpet looks this one excluded have been downright slutty. I wonder why nothing has been said about that?

The girl has style unlike many who just go way to plain, she's gorgeous..i dont see what's so scary about her "new persona" as someone stated, the only thing i'm not too into is the hairstyle i thought the hairsyle as shown in Umbrella was her new look...i guess it was only on the jet black hair colour...like the dress though..it's different and looks really cool...noone can dress like her or even wear those things, they think to bland..always seeing celebs wearing the same thing like eachother or pretty darn close..who looks better or not..they need to get out more and stop being so boring..and Rihanna does not look slutty here at all either as another said, she's wearing more clothes than the others, so what about what she performed in!!..i've seen some other singers wear things when performing, darn..you aint seen slutty at all girl! ouch to the second comment. thank god i'm not a housewife HAHAHAHAA! i have never heard of this amy winehouse person until last night. i don't listen to the radio at all and this was the first time i actually sat in front of an mtv program since middle school! but honestly, to me her song was quite redundant and i was waiting for it to end. i do think she could have cleaned up her eyeliner, made it more shapely. that's what was REALLY bugging me! i just wanted to go in there with a q-tip and clean up those smudges!!

Amy is amazing. I don't care what she looks like. Yes, she could stand to gain some weight back as she looked better when she was fuller but again, I don't care what she looks like or her hair or her choices in clothing. Her talent more than makes up for her bad fashion/hair.

my daughter is only 18 months old, so she's really only listening to the music. at this age, words other than eat, dada, outside, and goodnight go right over her head! i hear you, though, that the content of most of amy's songs are not for young ears.

Why was Victoria Beckham there?! She is starting to annoy me. She is so obsessed with becoming mega famous in America. Who does she think she is?! She has no talent. She isn't a singer, or an actress. The Spice Girls have been finished since 2000. Posh is only famous because of the fact she is married to David Beckham. She isn't a star.

i agree w/ Ice_Queen... rihanna has great style! from her gorgeous dress, her hair and even her make-up!!! a person that dares to be different even if it's a little risque, which i don't think she was with that beautiful gown and her outfit (which i think are more like costumes) for her performance... i think we, as common people easily gets pissed off or start criticizing celebrities just because they don't dress like ourselves or the "norm"... it's pretty sad, since i think everyone is different... who are we to judge?! rihanna has not taken advantage of her fame like other holywood girls... so far, she's been staying under the radar... so, with that said... i absolutely love her style, new hair and make-up and will always have her back because she deserves it.
