Yeah... God, don't pretend to be a victim unless you want a change. Rihanna obviously has very low self-esteem. There is a theory of personality psychology that is called Reflected Appraisal of Significant Others and basically the theory states that the reason why people stay in abusive relationships is because You look for people who affirm who you think you are. It makes you comfortable if you interact with people that treat you in the way you think you should be treated. Even if its negative affirmation, you get less anxiety when your around people who reinforce your sense of self. I hope that makes sense... it's been a little while since I took that course so I'm a lil rusty when it comes to explaining it. But basically since RiRi has low self esteem she stays in a relationship that supports her low self esteem and enables her to feel bad about herself. Basically she loves playing victim.

i think that rihanna is kind of hurting her reputation here and a bit of her credibility from this whole event..and it's a shame. i think that a lot of people want her to see him for what he did - and realize that it could happen again. it might not but it could and if she doesn't testify against him, then that's kind of saying that it's ok and it's not
